Delhi the capital city of India, is located in the North of India, bordered by Haryana on three sides and by Uttar Pradesh to the east. Yamuna River is the state's main river, and a major part of the city falls on the western side of the Yamuna River. Delhi is the second highest populated state of India and stretches over an area of 1483 sq. Km.

The capital city of Delhi has divided into two parts Old Delhi, or Purani Dilli, and New Delhi, or Nayi Dilli. The Old Delhi was founded by Mughal Emperor Shahjahan in 1639 and was formerly known as Shahjahanabad. Old Delhi depicts an incredible picture of the traditional and historical values of India. On the other side, New Delhi is a reflection of modern India with several VVIP buildings, legislative homes, and diplomat zones. People of different communities and religions live here, due to which the city has a mixed culture. English, Hindi, Urdu, and Punjabi are the official languages spoken here.

There are three UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Delhi Qutub Minar - the world’s tallest brick minaret, Red Fort, and Humayun’s Tomb. You can visit various other places in Delhi like the Lotus Temple, also known as Bahai Temple, Jantar Mantar, Jama Masjid, Lodhi Garden, India Gate, Akshardham Temple, Raj Ghat, Bangla Sahib, National Gallery of Modern Art, etc. Delhi also has a large number of Museums, shopping malls, and many street markets as well. It must be mentioned Chandni Chowk in Old Delhi where you can taste a large variety of street food and get in touch with the local people, and do some shopping.
