For a very exciting trip, we will be moving to Srinagar and then proceed to drive to Kargil through Sonamarg, which is a pasture land of the Gold Department. Also, taking a road trip to Sonamarg would be a great idea because you can witness the famous Kashmir’s Sindh Valley. The valley is known to be one of the largest in Kashmir. After that, we will continue our drive to Kargil and pass through the picturesque village of Sonamarg. Later, we will cover the distance to Zojila Pass and continue driving towards Drass, which is the second coldest place in the world. After that, we will move towards Kargil, which will take more than two hours. In Kargil, we will be spending our night at the hotel.

After having an early morning meal, we will be leaving Kargil to reach Mulbekh and Lamayuru Monastery where you can witness the breathtaking moon-like landscape which passes through Namkila and Fatula. On our way, we will be visiting another monastery named Alchi, which is the only Gompa in the Ladakh region. Later, we will head towards the Indus and Zanskar Valley to witness the junction of many rivers. After that, we will have a quick stop at the Pathar Sahib Gurudwara and Magnetic Hill. We will be ending the day by visiting the Leh Hall of Fame, which is generally a museum made in honour of Kargil war heroes and having dinner which will be followed by a night stay at the hotel.

Post a wholesome breakfast, we will continue with our journey and make a visit to the Thiksey Monastery which is located on a foothill with splendour views of the Indus Valley. The monastery of Thiksey is especially known for its giant statue of Lord Buddha and also for its assembly hall which shelters thousands of prayer books. After that, we will drive back to Leh and on our way we will have a quick stop at the Shey Palace and King of Ladakh. Next, we will also go to the world-famous Shanti Stupa, which is dedicated to Buddhism. There, you can observe a white-domed Stupa on the foothill of Changspa. Back then in 1991, the stupa was built by Japanese Buddhist Bhikshu. By the end of the day, we will head towards Leh Palace which faces the town of Leh. It is known that the palace was built by Sengee Namgyal in 1600. At last, we will be resting back at the hotel for a night.

The plan for day 4 is to wake up early and visit yet another famous valley, Nubra. We will cover a thrilling distance through twisting roads which will lead us to the Khardungla Pass at a great altitude of 5550 meters. Adding more to your excitement, you can also stop there to get some kickass pictures for your Instagram in that breathtaking view. The valley is located on an ancient road that joins the Shayok and Nubra rivers. On our way, we will be visiting the Deskit Valley which is a tiny capital of Nubra. There, you can witness the huge statue of Lord Buddha because the region of Leh and other Northeast parts are dominated by Buddhism. From there, we will head toward Hunder to view the dunes and enjoy camel rides We will end the day by staying there a bit and then returning to our hotel for dinner and a good night’s sleep.

Turtuk is a Balti village in Indian administration which is known for its low population and remote areas. Also, the region has been opened recently for all travellers. Despite this, the beauty of this place is still intact, so exploring it will be worthwhile. We will start our day 5 by driving towards Turtuk where you can witness mountain ranges and other small villages. Here, locals mostly depend on farming and grow many rare vegetables. It is believed that once locals here went to sleep in Pakistan and shockingly woke up in India. Since then, this region is named as Turtuk and is considered as Baltistan. By exploring this village, our day comes to an end. From here, we will move back to Nubra Valley for an overnight stay at the hotel.

Post breakfast, we will be travelling to our destination which will be Pangong Lake through Shayok and Spangmik. This route is known as a shortcut towards the beautiful Pangong Lake, Before heading towards Shayok village, you can easily get views of some mountain ranges on the way. Indeed, the view will be pleasant as it offers cinematic views of Leh. By noon, the serene Pangong Lake awaits us! Further, after a hearty dinner, we will be staying back at the hotel.
