Itinerary

  • Day 01: Arriving in Leh

Our Exotic Ladakh Tour with Hanle will begin by landing in Leh. From there, you can reach the hotel and make check-ins. After that, in the evening, we will be visiting the popular Shanti Stupa which is a Buddhist white-domed Stupa situated on the foothills of Changspa. It is believed that it was constructed by Japanese Buddhist Bhikshu and Gyomyo Nakamura. Later, we will be visiting the Leh Palace which will be followed by an evening walk on the streets and then finally staying back at the hotel.

  • Day 02: Sham Valley

Our day 2 will start with breakfast and then visit the Hall of Fame which was built by the Indian Army to honour the sacrifice of heroes during the India-Pakistan war. Next, we will seek the blessing of Shakti at the Kali Mata Temple and then explore the ancient Spituk Gompa. Later, we will visit the grand Gurudwara Patthar Sahib which lies deep in the Himalayas and is dedicated to Guru Nanak Dev, the founder of Sikhs. From there, we will continue our road trip to the Magnetic Hill that defines the law of gravity. Next, we will visit the Zanskar Valley which is admired for its breathtaking scenic views. We will end the day with a wholesome meal and then finally stay over in the hotel.

  • Day 03: Leh to Nubra via Khardungla Pass

The plan for today is to visit yet another popular valley, Nubra. After our morning meal, we will be leaving for the destination through thrilling twisting roads that will lead us towards Khardungla Pass which lies at a high altitude of 5550 meters. Also, we will have a quick stop in the middle of our journey just to admire the beautiful view and click some pictures. As the valley is located on an old junction of the Shayok and Nubra rivers, on the way you can witness the Deskit Gompa which is an old-age monastery. There, you will see the giant Buddhist statue with other images of Hindu deities. From Deskit, we will head towards Hunder past, which is an area covered with dunes and get captivated by the famous camels. To excite yourself more, you can also enjoy camel riding with a desert view. Will be ending the day with dinner and staying back at the hotel.

  • Day 04: Nubra - Excursion to Turtuk - Nubra

Turtuk, being a remote village offers a fascinating experience because of its smaller population. If you are one of those who love exploring abandoned sites, then Turtuk is the place for you! On our way, we will witness some wonderful mountain ranges and other small villages that are worthwhile. It is believed that this place is owned by a part of the Indian army because, after the war in 1971, it was recaptured by Indians from Pakistan. Also, being a moist land, Turtuk is one of the 4 Balti villages where locals depend on agriculture and grow rare species of fruits and vegetables. We will be ending a tiring yet productive day by returning to the Nubra Valley to stay over at the hotel.

  • Day 05: Nubra to Pangong Lake via Shayok

Post breakfast, we will be leaving the hotel early morning to drive towards our next beautiful destination which will be Pangong Lake via Sayok and Tang Tse and Spangmik. This route follows the Shayok River and transcends the mountainous region. Generally, it will take less than an hour to reach there and on arrival, you will be witnessing the mighty barren lands and mountains which will make the views extremely cinematic. During the noon, we will be reaching one of the most beautiful Lakes of Leh, named Pangong. After experiencing some serene and aesthetical views of the lake, we will head towards dinner and stay back at the hotel.

  • Day 06: Pangong Lake - Hanle via Tsaga La

Our day 6 is planned for yet another adventure at the Hanle village so that is what we will be doing! Post breakfast, we will be heading towards Chushul Village and Tsaga La, Hanle. Hanle village was named after the Hanle River and is known as the world’s highest observatory for stargazing. Are you an astronomy lover? If yes, then enjoy yourselves star gazing at some precious stars and other constellations in the sky for free! According to some historical books, it is believed that King Singge Namgyal lost his life in Hanle while returning from an excursion with the Mongols. After interacting with locals for a while, we will stay back at Hanle’s hotel.

  • Day 07: Hanle - Umlingla Pass - Hanle

After a fulfilling breakfast at the hotel, we will be heading towards Umlingla which is the highest motorable road in the world at a high altitude of 19,300 ft. After 3 hours of sitting in the car, we will be reaching Hanle. During the evening, we will be exploring the village and the streets and then staying back at our hotel.

  • Day 08: Hanle - Leh via Chumathang

I am fond of adventures. Max has landed me to a perfect destination for quenching my thirst for adventure. The trekking activities in Ladakh have been mind- blowing. I loved the ladahkis there. They lived a very simple life and looked really happy and satisfied from that one too. Thank You Max Holidays. I enjoyed your company."

We are in contact with Max Holidays for the last 17 years and have done many trips with them. They are one of the most professional set of tour operators, working under a good system in their office. The team is awesome as they are capable of dealing with almost every situation. Not only Rajasthan, Ladakh, Sikkim but we also travelled with them to Mt. Kailash in 2018 where we felt their strength to perform in adverse conditions. Hats off to their efforts and kudos to the team of the Company.
