Your English-speaking local guide will drive you to the city's center, teeming with bazaars' energetic atmosphere and color and with paths of winding, narrow streets filled with Indian sights, scents, and sounds. You can also take a rickshaw around the side streets to see how busy daily life is in India. After a busy morning, you can stop in Old Delhi for a lunch break before leaving Delhi. Around 2:00 PM, we will start the journey to Agra in a private air-conditioned vehicle which will take approx 5 hours. On arrival check in at hotel. Evening free for leisure time.
If you want to see the Taj Mahal at dawn, your guide will pick you up from your hotel at around 6 am and brief you on the day's events. Instead, if you choose a 2 PM journey to the Taj, your guide will meet you at a time scheduled the night before. (usually around 8.30 am to visit the Red Fort first). Visit the Taj Mahal, a work of art made of glistening white marble and situated amidst lovely formal grounds. As author Rabindranath Tagore dubbed it, this "teardrop on the face of eternity" was constructed as a memorial by Emperor Shah Jahan to his beloved wife, Mumtaz. Along the shore of river Yamuna, visit the Agra Fort. The fort, which Emperor Akbar built in 1565, was initially intended to be a military building. When Shah Jahan was emperor, it was transformed into a castle, but after he lost control of the country in 1658, it turned into his prison. You will also get some spare time today to sit back, unwind, tour Agra's backstreets. It's also highly advised to stop by Sheroes Cafe, which offers work to women who have suffered acid attacks.

Your English-speaking driver will meet you at your hotel after the morning breakfast. Later drive to Delhi, en route visit the abandoned Mughal realm of Fatehpur Sikri while traveling to Delhi in a private air-conditioned vehicle which will take about 4-5 hours approx. In 1569 Emperor Akbar constructed but abandoned it after 15 years due to lack of water. Jama Masjid, a striking mosque with Persian and Hindu architectural elements, is one of the city’s main attractions. The impressive 54-meter-tall Buland Darwaza, also known as the Gate of Victory, was built to honor Akbar's military success in Gujarat and serves as the mosque's primary entrance.
It's time to bid farewell at this point. You will continue you drive to Delhi on the way back. Will be dropped off at your Delhi accommodation by your driver. You can expect to return to Delhi around 3 p.m. Don’t book your ticket before 8 pm if you leave today because you will not get enough time to get to the airport and check-in.
