Set out on a sightseeing tour of the town. Visit the Sankar Gompa, the Shanti Stupa and the very famous Leh Palace from where you can soak up a bird's eye view of Leh and its surroundings. Later, visit the Hemis Gompa, which is both the largest and the wealthiest in Ladakh. This gompa was erected by Singe Namgyal in 1620. Next, get to see two of the most ancient gompas in the region – Shey Palace and Thiksey Gompa. Enjoy views of the Alchi Gompa and the Lamayuru Gompa before getting back to Leh. Experience what it feels like driving through mountain passes and spend some time wondering at the beauty of the Nubra Valley, a tri-armed valley which is situated to the northeast of Ladakh. After breakfast we proceed to a full day guided tour of Old and New Delhi. Visit Qutab Minar the longest mosque and other monuments in its complex like Quwat-ul-Islam mosque and Ilhai Darwaza. Humayun’s Tomb, built by the Bega Begam widow of Emperor Humayun after the death, the concept of Taj was taken from its architecture. Jama Masjid one of the biggest mosque of India, Chandni Chowk (moonlight square) here we will enjoy exploring the local streets and busy lanes riding on the rickshaw, drive through the Red Fort – a red sandstone fort built by Emperor Shah Jahan, the same fort is built in Agra by the same emperor. President’s Palace also called Rashtrapati Bhawan, India Gate, Lotus temple and Birla temple. Evening is free to hang around the Connaught Place market. Night stay at your hotel.
Optional : One can visit Delhi Haat to explore the mixture of crafts, food and cultural activity representing Indian culture.
Today you will be transferred to the airport to board your flight to Leh. Meeting and assistance upon arrival at the Leh airport and transferred to the hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure to acclimatize to the high altitude and rarefied air. Overnight stay at the hotel
After breakfast, start sightseeing of Sankar Gompa home of 20 monks, the place is very nicely lighten up in the evening, which attracts number of visitors. Visit Shanti Stupa, built by the Japanese Buddhist, as a sign of world’s prosperity and peace. From here, visit the Leh Palace, a nine story high palace, provides the panoramic views from the roof. Museum of the palace exhibiting the jewellery, artfacts, dresses etc of the rulers. Meals and overnight at Hotel
An excursion to Tak Tak and Hemis. Hemis gompa is one of the most important in Ladakh, the largest and also the wealthiest. It was built in 1620 by the king-architect Singe Namgyal, a great patron of Buddhism. He filled Hemis with golden statues; stupas set with precious stones and thangkhas brought from many places, including Tibet. Back to the hotel for overnight stay
After breakfast explore some of Ladakh's ancient Gompas. Shey Palace which is a summer capital built by Ladakh King. The monastery is displayed of largest Buddha statue and with many painting covering almost three walls. Afternoon, enjoy a picnic lunch. Later visit the Thiksey Gompa which houses many shrines inside. The monastery is also famous for mask dance, held on the ninth month according to Tibetan calendar.
After breakfast, we drive to Alchi Gompa which is located on the lower region of Ladakh and is one of the oldest monasteries. The monastery displays the Buddhism as well as Hinduiem effect on its walls and, painting. Overnight is at hotel.
After breakfast, we drive to Lamayuru Gompa located on Srinagar – Leh highway. Lamayuru Gompa is one of the oldest and largest Gompa where 400 gompas are used to live during ancient times. Following our visit to Lamayuru Gompa, we will drive to Leh, while enjoying the scenic beauty of Leh. On arrival, check into your hotel
After breakfast, we drive towards the Khardung la, one of the highest motorable pass. Here we will visit the Nubra Valley which is the cold deserts. The valley addresses the Sumur Buddhist monasteries known for its murals. From here we drive Khalsar, where the permits are provided to non Indians. Continue drive through narrow steep road to the campsite at Diskit.
Early in the morning visit the Diskit monastery said to be the oldest monastery housing the big sculpture of Buddha. The monastery houses about 100 monks, it offers the panoramic views from the roof. The valley is also famous for plantations of apricots. Continue our drive to Sumur. Here we will visit Samsthanling Gompa, built 100 years ago. Enjoy the walks and natural surroundings. Overnight is in camp.
Retrace the route to the Ladakh Sarai via Khalsar and the Khardung La.
Transfer to the airport for the return flight to Delhi. In Delhi, transfer to hotel. Rest of the day is free. Night stay at hotel.
In time you will be transferred to the airport to board onward flight.

Hello Sanya, hope you are doing great. It was such a wonderful trip and thanks to you for arranging it so well. Starting from arriving in Cochin till our departure, everything was so well organized. Exploring scenic places such an Munnar and Thekkady, staying on houseboat, spending time on white sand beaches was just few highlight of the trip.
