Day 01 Arrive Mumbai

Welcome to Ultimate India Tour package a India group travel itinerary designed and operated by India’s leading tour operator Max Holidays. As you reach Mumbai airport you are welcomed with a smile and transported to your hotel for relaxed time.

Night stay will be at the hotel in Mumbai.

Day 02 Mumbai

The city of Bollywood, Mumbai is a mega city driven by power, glamour and wealth. Mumbai is a city of diverse culture as people from almost every corner of the country come here to shape their future and work in different fields. The hub of commerce, entertainment and industry Mumbai is a sparkling city with a lot many tourist attractions and historical buildings. Today in your sightseeing tour of Mumbai you will visit the arch shaped monument of Gateway of India near Appollo Bunder port facing the Arabian Sea. This gate shaped marble structure was build in 1911 by British Govt. to welcome Prince of Wales. From here you will be transported in a boat/ferry to Elephanta Island which is famous for its very old rock cut caves dedicated to Lord Shiva.

After coming back from the excursion of Elephanta Island also visit Hanging Garden, Mahalaxmi Temple, Prince of Wales Museum, Dhobi Ghat, Juhu Beach and Marine Drive.

Day 03 Mumbai to Udaipur (Flight)

Fly to Mumbai this morning. Commonly known among travellers as the ‘Venice of the East’ Udaipur is the most romantic city of Rajasthan with many beautiful lakes, gardens, palaces and temples. Spend leisurely time in your hotel capturing the romance of the city in your eyes and camera. In the evening take a boat ride on Lake Pichola. Travel along the beautiful Lake Palace which is set amidst the lake. Once the Summer Palace of the royal family today Lake Palace is a luxurious hotel run by India’s reputed Taj Group of Hotels. The boat ride takes you to Jag Mandir Island where you can get off and spend some time watching the beauty of the main land Udaipur dotted with many forts, palaces and houses along the lake, during the dark.

Day 04 Udaipur

Udaipur is undoubtedly a dream destination for a romantic holiday. The beautiful morning starts with a prayer bell in the Jagdish Temple. Visit the temple early to have a unique and authentic experience of city’s spiritual side. Later proceed to visit the City Palace museum, Saheliyon ki Bari – the garden of royal maids and drive past through the beautiful lake Fateh Sagar. We will Do not miss the opportunity of spending some free time in the local bazaars of Udaipur.

Day 05 Udaipur to Jodhpur

In the morning drive to Ranakpur to visit the famous Jain temple group. Since tourist guides are not allowed inside the temple complex you have to manage with the information provided to you before the visit or you can hire an audio guide from the ticket counter of the temple.

Head to Jodhpur. The ‘Sun city’ of Rajasthan was founded in 1459 by Rao Jodha. It is the second largest city of Rajasthan after Jaipur. Its scenic landscapes and historic monuments are the major sightseeing places but the picturesque old part of the city painted in blue colour which attracts the attention of the travellers. In the evening walk in the old markets near the Clock tower. Enjoy delicious Indian food in dinner here. You may also walk into the famous spice market near the clock tower.

Night stay will be at the hotel in Jodhpur.

Day 06 Jodhpur to Jaipur

Start the day off with the visit to stunningly beautiful Mehrangarh Fort. The fort is situated 410 feet above on a steep hill and is one of the largest fort complex in entire Rajasthan. The haunting beauty and an important tourist site today Mehrangarh Fort was once the capital of Marwar and had served Rajputs as the headquarter for over five centuries. Visit the fort complex and museum. Later also visit the white marbled Jaswant Thada and drive past through the Jodhpur Palace or Umaid Bhawan Palace. Umaid Bhawan Palace still holds the residence of the royal family of Jodhpur through the palace has been converted into a luxury and expensive hotel.

In the afternoon drive to Jaipur. Reach Jaipur and check into the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 07 Jaipur

This is the seventh day of your Ultimate India Tour package and you have seen many interesting sites in your trip. Today you will be exploring Jaipur which is the most popular and largest city of Rajasthan. The old part of the city is known to travellers as ‘Pink City’ and holds most of the monuments of interest. Start the day with an elephant ride to reach a stunning fort standing high on Aravali hill – Amer Fort. Further visit Jantar Mantar Observatory, City Palace Museum of Jaipur, Hawa Mahal - the pink coloured building designed in the shape of crown of Lord Krishna and having 955 windows built to facilitate the royal ladies and their maids to see day to day activities and festival celebrations on the streets from the window, as they were not permitted to come out in the public and Birla Mandir also referred as Laxmi Narayan Temple is a temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu (The preserver)..

Afternoon spend some time in the market to make some shopping for your loved one. Jaipur is world famous for precious and semi previous stones, jewellery, carpets and hand printed textiles. In the evening enjoy watching live folk dances followed by dinner in a local restaurant.

Day 08 Jaipur to Ranthambore

In the morning drive to Dausa and visit the Abhaneri village which has recently attracted the attention of historians and travellers for its one of the largest and oldest step well in the world. The Chand Baori step well at Abhaneri were used for storage of water by the natives. Later proceed to your next destination which is Sawai Madhopur or Ranthambore National Park.

Spend leisurely time in the jungle today with nature. Lunch, Dinner and overnight stay at Ranthambore

Day 09 Ranthambore National Park

Morning and evening jungle activities are organized for you today. You ride on your jungle bus and go inside the wildlife to witness the royal Indian Tiger and many other species in their natural habitat. All meals and stay will be at your resort in Ranthambore National park.

Day 10 Ranthambore to Agra

We move to our next destination of Agra after breakfast. The city of Mughals Agra is world famous for its stunning monument of Taj Mahal which symbolize eternal love of a king for his queen. Commissioned in 1632 by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan this 73 meter high white marble wonder is situated on the bank of river Yamuna. It is a finest example of Mughal and Iranian architecture in India.

On our way to Agra we make a stop at the forbidden city of Fatehpur Sikri which is just 30 kms before Agra. It was the capital of Mughals before they moved to Agra due to acute shortage of water at Sikri. There are many beautiful and interesting sites in this walled city. Proceed to Agra and after settling down in the hotel get ready to visit the gorgeous Taj Mahal. You will be driven to Taj Mahal in a tonga (horse cart) from Shipgram. Do not forget to keep your camera handy as this is going to be the highlight of your India group tour itinerary.

Optional visit : Optional visit to famous ‘Mohabbat-e-Taj’ stage show can be organized in the evening on demand of individuals (Subject to availability). This is an hour show in English language featuring the life of the creators of Taj Mahal and the entire story behind Taj Mahal.

Day 11 Agra to Delhi

Agra has many other beautiful monuments waiting to be explored by you. Red Fort of Agra. Take a trip to Agra fort with your local tour guide and then drive to Delhi where you have hotel booked for night stay.

Day 12 Delhi

Have delicious breakfast in your hotel and then meet with your guide in the hotel lobby to start your combined sightseeing trip of Old and New Delhi. Delhi is a rare combination of old historical sites, old culture and modern civilization. Visit some finest tourist locations in Delhi including rickshaw ride at Chandni Chowk, Jama Masjid, Raj Ghat, Humayun’s Tomb, Qutub Minar, Bahai's Temple and enjoy a drive past through India Gate, President’s Palace and Parliament building.

Lunch will be in a local city restaurant during the sightseeing of Delhi. Night stay will be at Hotel in Delhi.

We offer a variety of hotel accommodation for you on our Ultimate India tour package. Stay in excellent hotels for 12 nights which includes experience of staying in some heritage hotels, a wildlife lodge/camp and a lake side resort.

For beach lovers, families and couples extension trips to Goa beaches can be organized from Delhi or Mumbai. A minimum 3 nights stay is recommended for real go an experience.

The prices indicated with each trip are based on twin share basis. If you are a single traveller and wish to stay in a single room only, you must pay the single room supplement mentioned with each trip. If you are a single traveller booking the trip on twin share price we will be offering you accommodation with a traveller of same gender only. In the event we do not find any other single traveller willing to share the room, you will be offered a single room only with additional single room supplement cost. For all our fixed departure India Tour packages, the maximum size of the group is 24, but in the event of higher demand on any given date, it may increase upto 30 only.

Indian food is a sheer delight for the traveller. On our India group tour packages mostly breakfasts are a part of the package. In addition to it we also include few lunches and dinners based on our experience for giving you a special local experience. For the rest of the meals, we prefer to offer the travellers flexibility and freedom of choosing meal and local restaurant of their choice. Our guides will suggest you restaurants you can try for a meal. This not only offers you budgeting flexibility but also keeps you free to try something apart from the group activities.

It is the responsibility of the traveller to respect the local culture, customs and nature. Keep the places you travel clean, do not encourage beggars by tipping them.

It is strongly recommended that while travelling in public areas and crowded streets or/and otherwise too, keep your passport, money etc in a neck wallet. Do not carry your valuable jewellery items etc during the trip as you will not require them for the trip. Many hotels also provide the facilities of safety lockers which can be used as per the hotel policy.
