Itinerary

  • Day 1 Reaching Lhasa (About 3650 metres)

Your guide will meet you when you arrive in Lhasa, whether by plane or rail, and you will be transported to your accommodation. On their private Lhasa tour, travellers may see the Yarlung Tsangpo River, the Brahmaputra River (the longest and most significant river in Tibet), and the Lhasa River. After reaching Lhasa, you can relax and adjust to the high altitude. If you feel like going outside, head to Potala Square, where you can admire the colourful fountain and take stunning pictures of the surrounding area and the Potala.

Tip: For visitors visiting Tibet, adjusting to the high altitude there is essential. Having a good night's sleep in your hotel is a good idea. Take your time visiting the nearby attraction of Lhasa. Stay for the night in Lhasa.

  • Day 2 A tour of Lhasa

The Potala Palace, the Dalai Lama's winter residence, will be your first stop on the Everest Base Camp Small Group Tour today. The 33rd Tibetan great ruler has used it ever since the 7th century. The gold-plated burial stupas of prior Dalai Lamas and the 33rd Great King of Tibet's meditation cave are among Potala Palace's most priceless artefacts. The Jokhang temple, constructed in the seventh century by Tibet's 33rd great monarch, is the next tourist stop after lunch. The statue of Buddha Sakyamuni at twelve years old is within. You could see pilgrims bowing and prostrating in front of the Jokhang Temple. You may do kora (a religious circuit around a mountain or building) with residents and pilgrims on Barkhor Street, which is close to the temple. You can also visit the ancient market there.

We may also try Tibetan tea in a tea house with locals. Additionally, a welcome meal will be planned according to our preferences. You can visit a center for Tibetan traditional medicine or handicrafts with your tour guide. The Tibetan Culture Show is available as an addition to your service for 60 USD per person. Remain in Lhasa for the night.

  • Day 3 Dadong Village and Sera Monastery tour in Lhasa

On the third day of the 8 Days of Lhasa to Everest Base Camp tour, you're heading to Dadong settlement, Lhasa's most picturesque settlement. Dadong Village is an old Tibetan village secured and encircled by valleys. It is situated 25 kilometres southwest of the centre of Lhasa. Following your arrival, you will explore the 11th-century Nyimatang Monastery, stroll around the hamlet, and get a taste of rural Lhasa. You'll also visit a nearby Tibetan household and eat lunch there.

In the late afternoon, you will visit Sera Monastery, one of Tibet's "great three" Gelug monasteries. At roughly 3 to 5 in the afternoon, the Monks Debate is a popular event. You may also see the printing facility for the holy texts of Tibet. The vibrant Buddha Rock Painting and three sand Mandalas are found within the monastery.

  • Day 4 Lhasa- to Shigatse through Gyantse (Approx 360 km)

Drive from Lhasa to Shigatse today to continue with 8 days Tibet Tour. On the route, Yamdrok-tso (4400m) may be seen if you travel through the Gampala pass (4790 m). The Holy Mount Nyenchen Khangsar, the tallest peak close to Lhasa at 7191 meters, can be seen in the distance and is encircled by several snow-capped mountains.

After that, we'll travel by the Korola Glacier and admire it from the side of the road; at the Manak Dam Lake prayer flag may be hung at the Simila Mountain travel; and last, we'll go to Gyantse, historically the third-largest city in Tibet (after Lhasa and Shigatse). We will go to Gyantse to see the well-known Pelkor Monastery, the Gyantse Kumbum, and the Gyangtse Fortress from a distance. We travel for an hour and a half before reaching Shigatse, the second-largest city in Tibet. We may visit a classic barley mill in Shigatse and take in the scenery of a barley field (during the summer).

Stay for the night in Shigatse. Here the Everest Base Camp Small Group Tour concludes for the day.
  • Day 5 Shigatse (About 3900m) to Everest Base Camp(About 5200)

The Panchen Lama's residence, Tashilunpo Monastery, will be our first stop of the day. Once we get your authorisation for travel, we will depart Shigatse and head to Lhatse, a little village where you may have lunch.

Following that, we will cross the Gyatsola Pass (5248) and Tsola Pass (4600M). Tourists may take in the Himalayan view at Gawula Pass, just after we reach the Mt. Everest National Nature Reserve (5189m). Then, we travel the New Zigzag Road (5200 meters) to Everest Base Camp. You can reach closer to see Mount Everest's summit. If the time and the weather allow, the Golden Everest Peak will be set above the lodge area.

  • Day 6 EBC (About 5200m) and back to Shigatse (About 3900m)

In the morning, if the weather allows, you can witness the dawn of Mount Everest from the accommodation area. After that, we will explore the Rongbu Monastery, the highest monastery where nuns and monks coexist. Lastly, we will return to Shigatse.

  • Day 7 Shigatse (About 3900m) to Lhasa (About 3650m) (Approx 350km)

We will follow Yalong Valley as we return to Lhasa today. Standing on the watching point will allow you to see the wide Yalong River bed. The guide will finally return you to your Lhasa hotel. Spend the night in Lhasa.

  • Day 8 Lhasa Departure

The tour guide will drive you to the train or airport and assist you in boarding the flight or train for your next destination. Here the Everest Base Camp Small Group Tour comes to an end.
