Other than the fact that it had been home to different tribes for a long time, not much is known about Netarhat's history. After independence, Netarhat was still cut off from city life and unknown to travellers for a long time. However, Netarhat tourism has recently gained popularity as one of the primary tourist attractions in the state. 

Due to its lush, untamed, and surreal surroundings, Netarhat Hill Station will undoubtedly capture your interest at first glimpse. You might often think of coming here again and wandering amid the shady paths.  Furthermore, Netarhat Residential School, which opened its doors in 1954, is also an attraction to tourists. The spring and early summer are the ideal time to travel to Netarhat. Yet, Netrahat is a year-round destination for a quick weekend getaway, surrounded by the stunning Chotanagpur mountains and magnificent waterfalls. Magnolia Point: Magnolia Point offers a splendid view of the Netarhat sunset. While the sunrise may be hindered by fog, the sunsets are magnificent. If you pay close attention, you can notice the sun's movement from shining brightly in the sky to slowly descending behind the enormous Vindhya mountain ranges. The distance of the viewing point from Netarhat bus station is approximately 0.5 to 1 km. As you wait in expectation to see the sun rising from the horizon, once at all, you discover nature serving as the horizontal line. 

Lodh Falls: It is the highest waterfall in Jharkhand and the 21st highest in all of India. The mystery surrounding the fall is that no one has ever been able to measure its depth despite numerous attempts. The fall is surrounded by stunning green trees and azure hills, giving the scene a surreal effect. Lodh Falls is sometimes referred to as Budha Ghag Falls because of the close presence of a Buddhist monastery. Netarhat is about 60 kilometres from Lodh Falls. 

Lower Ghaghri Fall: The second-highest waterfall in Netarhat, Jharkhand, is Lower Ghaghri. Ten kilometres away from Netarhat, Lower Ghaghri Fall is encircled by a dense forest. The waterfall originates from the Ghaghri River. Tropical weather dominates all around the Lower Ghaghri Falls. July marks the start of the wet season and lasts until September.

Upper Ghaghri Waterfall: One of the best tourist places near Netarhat is Upper Ghaghri Waterfall. The location is awe-inspiringly gorgeous, “the star” in the middle of a waterfall-filled valley. You must prefer visiting it once you are in Netarhat. The waterfall is situated in an awe-inspiringly spectacular place set beneath a valley filled with waterfalls. Go to the Ghaghri waterfall, around 4 kilometres from Netarhat, to make your trip unforgettable. This place is well-known for being a picnic area. It's fun to have a picnic amidst the beauty of nature.

River Koel: As you get to Netarhat, it's hard to miss the River Koel. The distance from the bus stop to Koel View Point, located in the Chirpiness jungles, is around two kilometers. The river flows around 10 kilometers below the location. The river originates from a highland community in the region called Tutua Paani. When the water seems to transform into a sparkling stream in the moonlight evenings, keep an eye out for the river, the best place to enjoy Netarhat sightseeing.
