It is situated in Nepal's Lower Mustang area in Muktinath Valley, at an elevation of 3800 meters, at the base of the Thorong La mountain pass. The name Mukti Kshetra, which means "place of salvation" in Hinduism, is given to the holy site. Buddhists primarily worship at the shrine, which has a strong Sri Vaishnava origin. Among the 108 Divya Desam that are officially available, this temple is ranked as the 105th. Thiru Saligramam was the name of this place prior to the advent of Buddhism. This is where the Saligrama sila is located, which is believed to be Sriman Narayana's naturally occurring shape (The Hindu Godhead). Additionally, it is one of the 51 Sakthi peetams. One of the eight most sacred shrines for Hindu Vaishnavas, known as Svayam Vyakta Ksetras, is the central shrine of Sri Muktinath, which predominates among 108 Hindu Sri Vaishnava Divyadesam. The other seven shrines are Srirangam, Srimushnam, Tirupati, Naimisharanya, Totadri, Pushkar, and Badrinath. Water is pumped through 108 bull faces in the prakaram (outer courtyard). Today, we will drive through private vehicle by road for Muktinath tour and travel 206 km (eight to nine hours) from Kathmandu to Pokhara, which is going to be total of 06 days tour. We will stop at Kuringtar after a four-hour, 100-kilometer drive to explore Manakamana Temple.

We will be taking a private vehicle today as we travel to Jomsom. Jomsom is 175 km from Pokhara and requires 7–8 hours. We will stop at a number of small villages along the way, including Baglung Kalika Mandir, Galeshwor Mahadev Temple, Natural Hot Spring, and Rupse Waterfall. After arriving in Beni, the route becomes hilly and uneven. The enormous snow-capped mountains will greet us as we pass Ghasa Village, which makes our journey of Muktinath tour by road even more exciting.
Throughout the trip, mountains will be playing hide and seek. Arrive at Jomsom and and take some rest in the hotel. Stay the night in Jomsom.
