Morning arrive Goa – the Queen of Beaches. Post breakfast; de-board the luxury train to visit the Churches of North Goa visiting – the Basilica of Bom Jesus (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), the place with the remains of Saint Francis Xavier are preserved. You will also visit Se Cathedral opposite to Basilica of Bom Jesus, was built to mark the defeat of Goa by the Portuguese after defeating a Muslim Army. Later take a tour on foot around the Old Panjim houses where you will notice a glimpse of the fusion of Portuguese culture with Goanese. Afternoon return to the Maharajas’ Express for a luxurious lunch. After lunch at around 1545 hrs de-board the train for a fun filled evening with dance and music. Enroute give a visit to one of the finest private ethnographic museum in the state the Goa ‘Chitra Museum’. The museum acts as a sheath for depicting the growth of civilization as it houses a collection of pottery, farming tools, musical instruments, carts and palanquins. A music carnival will be organised during the dinner time to have an exclusive evening. After dinner return to the comforts of Maharajas’ Express.

Breakfast onboard as the train reaches Hampi. Enjoy a mesmerising view through the ridges. Lunch will be served onboard. Upon arrival to Hospet Railway Station head towards the Anegudi Village, which lies across the Tungabhadra River dates back its history to the Neolithic Age. Morning breakfast onboard and then drive to visit the Wodeyar Palace popularly known as the Mysore Palace. The Mysore Palace serves as the residence of the royal family of Mysore. Afternoon enjoy lavish lunch at the Lalitha Mahal Palace Hotel – the heritage building built by the Wodeyars for a comfortable stay of the Viceroy of India in the 1920s. The structure, particularly the central dome of the Lalitha Mahal Palace resembles as of St. Paul’s Cathedral, London. Evening return to the comforts of Maharajas’ Express else you may also choose to visit Shreerangapatnam, the capital city of Tipu Sultan. Morning arrive Kerala – God’s Own Country. Savour breakfast and lunch onboard. Leave from the luxury wheels at around 1415 hrs and take a short tuk tuk ride to reach the Model Eco Tourism Village to practice various traditional arts. You will also get an opportunity to witness the unique Chinese Fishing Nets in action, visit a traditional crab farm and other activities using coir products. Lunch will be served onboard. Early morning savour last breakfast of this tour onboard and at around 0800 hours we reach Trivandrum the Kochuveli Railway Station. Now it is time to bid farewell to the Maharajas’ Express as the journey comes to an end.
