Itinerary

• Day 01 : Saturday Delhi- Jaipur

  Late evening at 2030 hrs report at Safdarjung Railway Station, New Delhi to board your luxury train Maharaja's Express for a week long Indian Panorama Tour. Complete the registration formalities and check in to your ultra luxurious saloon on Maharaja's Express train.

• Day 02 : Sunday Jaipur

  The first morning of the trip brings you to the glorious city of Jaipur. After breakfast you have a trip to Amber Fort on the cards. Amber Fort is one of the most splendid fortress in Rajasthan with fortifies walls and battlement. The fort was the erstwhile abode of the Maharajas of Jaipur before they moved to City Palace, Jaipur. Followed by the visit enjoy watching Elephant Polo Match in the palace and if you are interested you may also participate in the game.

  Highlights : Lunch will be in an exclusive venue at Jaipur. Post Lunch enjoy the sightseeing tour of Jaipur visiting City Palace Museum and Jantar Mantar or / do some shopping in Jaipur. Return to the Train to enjoy a lavish dinner & overnight stay.

• Day 03 : Monday Ranthambore - Fatehpur Sikri

  This morning take an exciting jungle ride in Ranthambore national Park by a jungle jeep. Lunch will be on board the train. Later after lunch the Maharaja's Express luxury train arrives at Bharatpur railway station and from here we take a short drive by an air conditioned coach to visit the deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri. This massive red sandstone complex was built in 16th century by Mughal Emperor Akbar.

  Highlights : Return to the comforts of Maharajas Express for dinner and overnight stay.

• Day 04 : Tuesday Agra / Gwalior

  Arrive in the city of gorgeous Taj Mahal, the white marble masterpiece standing on the bank of river Yamuna in Agra. This ‘UNESCO World Heritage Site’ is perhaps the most beautiful and most romantic monument ever built in the history of love. Taj Mahal was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal.

  Optional : The visit to Taj Mahal will followed by a champagne breakfast and then we continue travelling to Gwalior in our Maharaja's Express luxury train. Visit the Gwalior Fort and Jai Vilas Palace Museum, later you can opt for a relaxing spa at Usha Kiran Palace.

• Day 05 : Wednesday Khajuraho

  Enjoy leisurely breakfast on board train as the journey continues through some of most dramatic & picturesque environs towards Khajuraho.
  
  Khajuraho is world famous for its excellently carved erotic temples built between 950 and 1050 AD. The UNESCO World Heritage site of Khajuraho is a favourite destination for leisure travellers, spiritual travellers and also for those who love to see some excellent architecture of age old civilization.

  Optional : A walking tour is the best option to explore the place and marvel at the creative and artistic genius of the artists who created these marvels.

  Highlights : You can opt for Dances of India show or Spa at hotel in the evening. Lunch & Dinner on board the Maharajas’ Express luxury train.

• Day 06 : Thursday Varanasi

  The Indian Panorama by Maharaja's Express will today take you to the holy city of Varanasi which is a sacred place to Hindus and non Hindus alike. Situated on the bank of holy river Ganga Varanasi is offers an excellent opportunity to explore the oldest living city of the world and life of people living in harmony and peace.
  
  On arrival at Varanasi take a trip to Buddhist temple and ‘Stupa’ at Sarnath which is situated about 10 kms out of Varanasi city.
  
  Later enjoy a boat cruise on holy river Ganges to witness the lifestyle of peoples living in the world’s oldest city and join the huge gathering on the bank of river to witness the ‘Aarti’ prayer ceremony.

  Highlights : Dinner and night stay will be on board the Maharaja’s Express luxury train.

• Day 07 : Friday Lucknow

  Lucknow, the city of ‘Nawabs’ extends along the river Gomti. Lucknow is famous as a centre of Urdu poetry, elaborate cuisine and exquisite shadow work embroidery on fine Muslim cloth.
  
  Visit Rumi Darwaza and Bada Imambara. . Experience the elegance and charm of Spa traditional hospitality during an exclusive lunch and relish Awadhi cuisine. Enjoy "Indian Evening onboard with sumptuous dinner in an exclusive place organised for the guests of Maharaja’s Express luxury train.

• Day 08 : Saturday Delhi

  Early morning arrive at Delhi and after breakfast disembark at Safdarjang Railway station at around 0830 hrs. The Indian Panorama journey on luxury train ‘Maharaja’s Express’ comes to an end as you depart with everlasting memories.
