Today the luxury wheels arrive to its first destination Vadodara, which is set along the seasonal River Vishwamitri. Enjoy a scrumptious breakfast onboard and then leave to visit Champaner - Pavagadh Archaeological Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The site includes water installations, religious buildings, agricultural structure, palaces and more. Later on back to the luxury wheels to enjoy a splendid lunch. After lunch, visit the Maharaja Fateh Singh Museum which is a well known museum for the display of work of different artists and it houses great collection of paintings of Raja Ravi Verma and other prominent European Masters. This morning you relish your breakfast in the midst of the Aravalli Hills on arrival to the ‘City of Lakes’ Udaipur and also popular for being one of the most romantic cities of India. After breakfast drive to Udaipur for sightseeing tour. Firstly, give a visit to City Palace a marvellous assortment of courtyards, pavilions, terraces, corridors, rooms and hanging gardens situated on the banks of the Lake Pichola. You will enjoy a boat ride on the calm water of the Lake. Afternoon back to the luxury wheels to have a scrumptious lunch. Sawai Madhopur in Rajasthan is famous for its Ramthambore National Park, which was once the former hunting ground of the Maharajas of Jaipur. After an early breakfast now go for an adventurous wildlife safari in the National Park. If you are lucky enough you will be able to spot tigers as Ranthambore National Park is quite famous for India’s finest tiger reserves. You can also witness many species of wild animals as well as migratory birds. Afternoon back onboard the train for a lavish lunch. On the 07th day arrive at the historic capital of Rajasthan, Jaipur. Jaipur is the city mainly considered for its liveliness and richness in culture. After breakfast leave from the luxury train for a visit to the ferocious Amber Fort. The Amber Fort is situated overlooking towards the beatify Maota Lake. On the way to Amber Fort give a visit to Palace of Winds – the Hawa Mahal, which gives a mesmerising view of the City. Later, visit the famous City Palace of Jaipur, which is a huge complex including palaces, gardens and courtyards. The palace also has a museum which holds a collection of rare manuscripts, armoury, costumes and carpets belonging to the royal families. Also visit Jantar Mantar, an astronomical observatory built by Sawai Jai Singh in the 18th century. Relish lunch at a City hotel. After lunch you can take an option for a spa session else give a visit to the sparkling and colourful markets of Jaipur. You can shop attractive handicrafts, traditional clothes, bangles, imitation jewellery and more. Evening back to the luxury wheels for overnight stay.

I had a wonderful time travelling to India on Deccan Odyssey luxury train. The train took us to all the important destination of India according to my interest. Everything was well arranged prior, we didn’t had to make any efforts. The sightseeing places were really interesting, most importantly being treated as king’s and queen’s. The food was really delicious and served several cuisines. I had a marvellous time.
The train starts from Mumbai and ends at Delhi, provides personalised butler services. The train had everything a bar, kitchen, library and spa. The train used to moves toward towards its next destination in the night and city excursion trip were arranged during the day. It covered all the important destinations of India. We were gives various items for sightseeing, like the wet towels, caps to protect from the sun, etc. Overall a fabulous trip with everlasting memories!
