Early morning enjoy breakfast as the luxury wheels rolls to Sawai Madhopur in Rajasthan. Take a drive to Ranthambore National Park – the Tiger Reserve. Ranthambore was once the private hunting ground of the Maharajas of Jaipur. Enjoy audacious morning jungle safari to witness various animals.
Afternoon return to the luxury wheels to have an authentic lunch. Later, proceed for a village tour to get in touch with the local people. After witnessing the real colours of Rajasthan it is time for high-tea at Sawai Madhopur Lodge, which was served to the royal families of Jaipur previously. Now, it is time to return to the train as it leaves for Agra.

On the third day your luxury wheels reaches Agra – the city of Taj Mahal, which is one of the ‘Seven Wonders of the World’. Morning breakfast onboard then proceed for sightseeing of Taj Mahal which is also denoted as the symbol of love. Lunch will be served at City Hotel, after that visit Itmad-ud-Daulah also known as the Baby Taj and the impressive Agra Fort. You can also do some shopping in the local markets or take an option for spa. In the evening return to the luxury train to enjoy your luxurious dinner as the train leaves for Jaipur, the pink city.

With day 4 on your luxury wheels you reach Jaipur which is the capital city of Rajasthan. Once you are finished with a leisurely breakfast onboard, leave for Amer Fort. On the way to Amber Fort visit Hawal Mahal – the Palace of Winds, City Palace – a palace with a beautiful complex of alluring palaces, gardens and courtyards. Also give a visit to Jantar Mantar – an astronomical observatory used to measure the distances and positions of heavenly bodies. Relish your lunch at City Hotel. Post lunch you can savour spa facility at a City hotel or explore the colourful bazaars of Jaipur. Later, return to the Deccan Odyssey for dinner onboard. Now, it is time to leave for Udaipur – the City of Lakes.

Today morning arrive at the princely city of Udaipur. Take your breakfast and then disembark to one of the most romantic city of India Udaipur. Visit the famous City Palace, which is well known for its Crystal Gallery. Enjoy a splendid boat ride at Lake Pichola to reach Jagmandir Palace. Relish your lunch at Jagmandir Palace later return to luxury wheels to relax for some time. Evening leave for a walk through the Old City of Udaipur to shop for various handicrafts items, jewellery, etc. Enjoy you dinner onboard as the Deccan Odyssey departs for Vadodara.

Today you arrive at the Royal city of the Gaekwads, Vadodara, which is located along the seasonal river Vishwamitri. Take your breakfast and then detrain for visiting the Champaner-Pavagadh Archeological Park (UNESCO World Heritage Site) & Jama Masjid - the blend of Hindu & Islamic Architecture. Later back to the luxury wheels to enjoy delicious lunch onboard. Post lunch visit the Maharaja Fateh Singh Museum – once served as an educational institute for the children of royal households. Relish high tea at palatial Laxmi Vilas Palace built in the year 1890. Even today the palace is the former home of the royal family. Enjoy the folk dance of the region along with munching special delicacies from the Royal kitchen. Return to Deccan Odyssey for dinner while it leaves for Aurangabad.

On the seventh day of the tour, you reach Aurangabad, the mughal city named after Great Emperor Aurangzeb. Enjoy a relaxed morning onboard with leisurely breakfast. The train arrives Aurangabad once the dinner gets served. On arrival drive to Ellora Caves – unique 34 rock cut shrines that represent Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism forms of art, dating back to a time between 4th and 5th century AD. Return to the luxury wheels after exploring the beautiful Ellora Caves. Relax for the evening with your sun downer at the Mumbai-Hi and follow it by dinner.

It was a once in a lifetime trip! Tour guides were highly knowledgeable. I loved the butler service in the train everything was available very easily. On this trip we were very lucky to see the tiger at Ranthambhore, the food was superb, the fold dance at the palace was great eve we joined them.
