Next, head straight for Samode, a quaint Rajasthani village. Later, drive to Jaipur where you'll visit the Amber Fort, the Hawa Mahal and the Jantar Mantar Observatory. If you are interested in exploring more forts and havelis, Nawalgarh and Mandawa are great destinations to quench your thirst. Next, the tour takes you to the desert cities of Bikaner, Jaisalmer and Jodhpur. Each of these cities has a distinct character of its own and you would love exploring them one city at a time. The Jain temples of Ranakpur is a major attraction for travellers. A sightseeing tour of Udaipur, one of the most romantic cities in India, is next on the list. After spending some time in the towns of Bundi and Kota, drive to Sawai Madhopur where an exciting jungle safari into the forests of the Ranthambore National Park is awaiting you. Next day, undertake a road journey to Agra, the city where the world-famous Taj Mahal is located. Apart from soaking up the unparalleled beauty of the Taj, visit the massive Agra Fort to dig out some more Mughal history. Finally, get back to Delhi so that you can continue your onward journey or fly back home.

Itinerary

  • Day 01 : Arrive Delhi

    Arrive at Delhi airport and get assisted transfer to your hotel where you will stay for the night in your comfortable room.

  • Day 02 : Delhi Sightseeing Tour

    Breakfast in the hotel. Later start full day sightseeing tour of Delhi which offers a rich contracts of cultural history and modern lifestyle. Old Delhi sightseeing will include a visit to Jama Masjid - the largest mosque in India, Chandni Chowk – the ‘Silver Street’ and market place of Mughals and a ride on cycle rickshaw in the busy streets of Chandni Chowk bazaar. Also visit Mahatma Gandhi memorial. New Delhi sightseeing tour will include a drive past through India Gate, President’s Palace and Parliament building. Other monuments to be visited are Humayun’s Tomb, Qutub Minar and Lotus Temple.

  • Day 03 : Delhi - Samode

    Drive to the rural pictorial town of Samode which is known for its rich Rajasthani culture and beautiful palaces and is situated near to Jaipur. On arrival check into your beautiful heritage hotel and later visit the palace. Experience village life while taking a walk around or riding on a camel or bullock-cart. Overnight stay at heritage hotel in Samode.

  • Day 04 : Samode – Jaipur – Nawalgarh

    After breakfast drive to Amer Fort and experience a royal elephant ride to reach the fort on the top of Aravali Hill. The sightseeing tour of Jaipur will include a visit to Hawa Mahal – Palace of Winds, Jantar Mantar Observatory, City Palace Museum. Spend some time in the colourful markets of Jaipur before leaving to Nawalgarh.

    On reaching Nawalgarh check into your hotel. Nawalgarh is a premium designed city of Shekhawati region famous for its various Mature Havelis, Vibrant Markets and Huge Forts. On arrival check into your heritage hotel in Nawalgarh for night stay.

  • Day 05 : Nawalgarh – Mandawa

    Today morning after breakfast take a walk into the town and explore the surroundings on your own. Later drive to Mandawa which is often referred as World’s largest open air art gallery for its richly painted walls and wide use of the frescoes paintings. Upon arrival in Mandawa, check into your hotel.

    In the evening visit the famous Havelis Gori Shankar Haveli and Goenka haveli which are recognized for beautiful frescoes ornamenting the walls & ceiling. A walk into this tiny hamlet is advisable to have a real Rajasthani village trip experience. After spending some time in the village streets return to your heritage hotel for overnight stay.

  • Day 06 : Mandawa –Bikaner

    Relaxed morning in the hotel and then after breakfast drive to Bikaner. Founded in 1488 AD by Rajput prince Raj Rao Bika today Bikaner is a famous tourist destination for its Junagarh Fort which was built in 1589 to 1593 AD. On arrival check into your hotel and then take a sightseeing tour of Bikaner visiting the Junagarh Fort. Also visit the Lalgarh Palace, Museum and Karni Mata Temple (Rat Temple). Night stay will be at your hotel in Bikaner.

  • Day 07 : Bikaner - Jaisalmer

    Head to Jaisalmer this morning, famous as the ‘Golden City’ of Rajasthan. Enroute visit the camel breeding farm near Bikaner. Jaisalmer is called the Golden city due to the yellowish color of the sand found here. Crowned by a huge Fort of Jaisalmer, having palace and several ornate Jain temples Jaisalmer is one of the finest places in this part of the world to experience the beauty of deserts. On arrival check into your pre booked hotel for night stay in Jaisalmer. Spend some time in the city to see the local life of the people there.

  • Day 08 : Jaisalmer sightseeing

    In the morning after breakfast take a sightseeing trip of Jaisalmer covering Jaisalmer which is the largest fortifications in the world Jaisalmer Fort. Standing strong amidst the golden sands of great Thar Deserts on the brink of an 80m elevated hill the fort was constructed by Raja Rawal Jaisal in the year 1156. It is the only ‘Living Fort’ in India where several families resides inside the fort complex. Sightseeing tour of Jaisalmer includes visit to many charming Havelis are another attraction of Jaisalmer. Visit the glorious Patwon Ki Haveli and Gadisagar Lake. In the evening make your way to Sam Sand Dunes to enjoy a camel safari in the dunes followed by theme evening with cultural dances and delicious Rajasthani food. Spend memorable time under the sky and come back to Jaisalmer to stay in your hotel.

  • Day 09 : Jaisalmer - Jodhpur

    After breakfast in the morning drive towards Jodhpur. Known to travellers as the “Blue City” of India due to blue coloured houses and buildings dotted all around in the old city. Check into the hotel and visit the massive Mehrangarh Fort which is situated on the hill overlooking the Jodhpur city. Later take a walk in the old markets around ‘Clock Tower’ also visit the spice market. Night stay in the hotel at Jodhpur.

  • Day 10 : Jodhpur – Ghanerao

    After breakfast, visit Jaswant Thada the cremation ground for the royal rulers of Jodhpur. Drive past Umaid Bhawan Palace and drive to the tiny village of Ghanerao. Located in the Pali district in Rajasthan, the quiet village of Ghanerao is an important tourist place for many Jain and Hindu temples and few important sites located at an easy access from Ghanerao. On arrival check into the hotel and visit the temples and take a walk in the village. Night stay in the hotel.

  • Day 11 : Ghanerao - Kumbalgarh - Ranakpur - Udaipur

    In the morning after breakfast enjoy an excursion to Kumbhalgarh Fort. The 15th century fort constructed by Maharana Kumbha is also known for the birth place of Maharana Pratap, the great king and warrior of Mewar. Kumbhalgarh Fort is the highest and formidable in Rajasthan. After visiting the fort continue drive to Ranakpur to visit the superb architecture of Jain temples made in yellowish-brown marble. Ranakpur is one of the most sacred pilgrimage destinations for the Jain community in India. Later drive to Udaipur where you will stay in hotel near the beautiful Lake Pichola.

  • Day 12 : Udaipur sightseeing tour

    After lavish breakfast take sightseeing tour of the romantic city of Udaipur, also known as the ‘Venice of the East’ for its natural and historical beauty. Visit Jagdish Temple, City Palace Museum, Sahelion Ki Bari, Vintage car museum and drive through the Lake Fatehsagar. In the evening ride on a boat on Lake Pichola for a scenic ride. Get the camera ready to capture the magical moments into your camera. During the boat trip visit the Jag Mandir Island where one can get off and spend some leisurely time before coming back to the mainland by return boat. Night stay will be in the hotel at Udaipur.

  • Day 13 : Udaipur - Deogarh

    In the morning after hearty breakfast drive to Deogarh. On arrival at Deogarh (Also referred as Devgarh sometimes) check into your beautiful heritage hotel managed by the erstwhile royal families. Spend some relaxed time and then enjoy the local sightseeing tour visiting the Deogarh Mahal – now rehabilitated to a heritage hotel and known for its beauty and bliss, Dashavatar Temple – beautiful temple that has been dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Enjoy leisurely time in the beauty of the tiny hamlet. Night stay in your hotel at Deogarh.

  • Day 14 : Deogarh - Bundi

    After breakfast in the hotel drive to the captivating town of Bundi. Dominated by a fantastic palace rising above the town on the hill, Bundi is dotted with many temples, fort, step-well, lakes and tanks. The unending natural beauty of Bundi makes it a perfect destination for tourists. On arrival check into the hotel and take a sightseeing trip of Bundi. Night stay in the hotel.

  • Day 15 : Bundi – Kota - Swai Madhopur

    After breakfast sightseeing trip of Kota which is the only town of Rajasthan with a permanent river. Earlier Kota was a part of Bundi under the erstwhile kingdom of Rajput but the Mughal Emperor Jahangir parted it in 1624 from Bundi and made Kota and independent town. Continue drive to Ranthambore National Park (Swai Madhopur) the hometown of the royal Bengal Tigers and many rare wild species. On reaching Ranthambore check into your resort and stay for the overnight.

  • Day 16 : Swai Madhopur

    Ranthambore National park offers an opportunity to watch Tiger, Leopard, Wild Boar, Chinkara, Stripped Hyenas, Langurs, Blue Bull and many other wild animals in their natural habitat. The park also has a variety of more than 300 birds which makes it also a perfect place for bird watching in North India. Enjoy morning and afternoon jungle visits in a jungle van and stay in the resort for the night.

  • Day 17 : Swai Madhopur - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra

    Today after breakfast head towards Agra by road journey. If interest one can enjoy another visit into the wildlife this morning before leaving to Agra. Agra is the Imperialistic of the great Mughal Empire and developed under the rule of great Akbar. It is well-known for the world famous Taj Mahal. En route to Agra we will visit Fatehpur Sikri. It was built by Mughal emperor Akbar to commemorate the birth of his elder son Jahangir. On arrival at Agra check into your hotel. In the evening optional visit to a local theatre to watch live performance ‘Mohabbat-e-Taj Show’ which narrates the story behind the making of Taj Mahal.

  • Day 18 : Agra - Delhi

    Early morning, we will visit the beautiful Taj Mahal during sunrise. A ‘Tonga or Buggy ride’ from Shilpgram parking to the entry point of Taj Mahal. Situated on the bank of river Yamuna, this white marble monument is perhaps the finest creation in the world for love. Taj Mahal speaks of the eternal love of Shah Jahan for his beloved wife Mumtaj in whose memory this symmetrical marble structure was erected to keep his love alive forever. Later we will visit the Agra fort - the rusty and majestic red-sandstone fort of Agra stands on the banks of the river Yamuna and the construction was started by Emperor Akbar in 1566 and Itmad Ud Daulah.

    Following the sightseeing, continue drive to Delhi through the traditional highway and upon arrival directly transfer to the International airport to board your flight to home / onward destination.

Sunderbans is amazing! I loved everything here. Spotting the Royal Bengal Tiger was the most perfect sight here for me. Max Holidays also took me to some of the places I didn’t even know about before, however, I loved them. They were highly serene. Thank You Max for helping me out in this one
