Your next halt is Pushkar, where the world's largest camel fair is held every year. Pushkar is also known for its holy Pushkar Lake and the Brahma Temple which lies close to the lake. Visit Jaipur, also known as the Pink City, to see a number of engaging forts and palaces built during the reign of the Rajput rulers. The City Palace, the Hawa Mahal and the Jantar Mantar (the observatory) are most famous tourist attractions in the city of Jaipur. Before you set foot on the soil of Agra, the City of Taj, make a brief visit to the ghost town of Fatehpur Sikri en route. After witnessing the Taj Mahal, the embodiment of love, and a host of other Mughal architectural marvels, travel to Gwalior where you will see the gigantic Gwalior Fort and enjoy a guided tour of the historical city. Next, get to the city of Orchha which has a number of temples belonging to the 17th century. Get ready to soak up the charm of the erotic sculptures at Khajuraho. The Khajuraho Temples, divided into western and eastern groups of temples, are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Finally, spend a day to immerse into the spiritual beauty of Varanasi, located on the pristine banks of the Ganga, before getting back to Delhi for your return flight.

Itinerary

  • Day 01 : Arrival Delhi

    Welcome to Delhi the capital of India where at International airport you will be met by our representative who will welcome you in a traditional Indian style and will escort you to your hotel.

  • Day 02 : Delhi Sightseeing

    After breakfast meet our guide in the hotel who will take you for full day sightseeing of Old and New Delhi. The old city is settled within the remnants of a sturdy defensive wall and spread to the west of the famous Red Fort built by Megha Emperor Shah Jahan between 1638 and 1648 A.D.The planning of New Delhi began in 1911 under Edwin Lutyen, soon after the declaration of King Emperor George V at the Delhi Durbar, that the capital of India was to move from Calcutta to Delhi. The tour of New Delhi will start with India Gate , the War Memorial , was designed by Lutyens, it commemorates more than 70,000 Indian Soldiers who died in World War I. Also see from outside the official residence of the President of India which was completed in 1929 AD, to serve as viceroy’s residence. Also visit Qutab Complex which hosts Qutab Minar, Quwwat ul Islam, 4th century Iron Pillar. In old Delhi visit Jama Masjid and just in front take a walk at Chandni Chowk (Moonlight Square) and drive past Red Fort. Birla Temple and Lotus temple will be also a delight. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

  • Day 03 : Delhi – Udaipur (by Flight)

    Following a leisurely breakfast, transfer to airport to board your flight for Udaipur. At Udaipur, you will be received by our representative who will transfer you to your pre booked hotel.

    Udaipur also known as the “city of Lakes” was built by Rana Udai Singh in 1559 A.D. Rest of the day is free to relax and to discover the city on your foot. Night stay at your hotel.

    Optional : Once can explore the local vicinity around lake and city palace. Once can opt to have dinner at Jag Mandir –an island palace.

  • Day 04 : Udaipur

    After breakfast leave for Udaipur city sightseeing with local guide. Take a boat ride to see the beautiful palace now converted into hotel called Lake Palace; if your budget is little high then you can take an opportunity to stay in this hotel which is not only one of the best hotels of India but staying here can be a dream for any traveller. During our boat trip our next stop will be at Jag Mandir Island which is also located in the middle of beautiful Lake Pichola. Jag Mandir Island has beautiful garden and restaurant where you can stop for a cup of coffee. Later come on the mainland to visit City Palace museum which has varieties of royal collection. ‘Manak Mahal’ and ‘Pearl Palace’ has a brilliant collection of glass and mirror work. There is an awesome collection of coins, armoires, and paintings on the walls, portraits and many more. Also visit ‘Sahelion ki Bari’ (commonly known as Garden of Maids) and beautiful Jagdish Temple. Evening is free for your independent activities Night stay at your hotel.

    Highlights : Here one can spend an hour for Indian cooking class and later enjoy the prepared food with an Indian family.

  • Day 05 : Udaipur – Pushkar

    Following a leisurely breakfast head to Pushkar which has one of the very few temples dedicated to Brahma the Creator. The sleepy town with its placid lake is catapulted into prominence for 10 days every November as India’s most splendid camel fair takes place here, attended by locals and foreigners. After a long journey check in your hotel and relax rest of the day. Overnight at hotel.

  • Day 06 : Pushkar– Jaipur

    Morning proceed for sightseeing of Pushkar. Visit Brahma Temple located near to the Pushkar Lake. Also visit Savitri and Mahadev Temple. After spending few hours at the temple complex leave for the pink city of Jaipur. Part medieval citadel, part modern metropolis bustling city scape, part quaint folk tradition, part aristocratic history, part surging modernity. And to each of these roles, Jaipur brings its bright colours forming a splendorous mosaic which makes it a must for any traveler’s itinerary. On arrival, check in hotel. Rest of the day is free for your independent activities. Night stay at your hotel

    Optional : you can visit the Chokhi Dhani, artificial village created to provide the feel of Rajasthan culture and village life.

  • Day 07 : Jaipur Sightseeing.

    Today start your day with excursion Amer Fort which is about 11 Km from the city. The climb to the fort can be made on the back of an elephant, the preferred vehicle of medieval royalty. Once at the top a spectacular view of the Gorge and surrounding hills is revealed. Visit Diwan-e-Am meant for public audience, this hall shows the distinctly Mughal style. Also see Jai Mandir (Hall of Victory) and Sukh Niwas (Hall of Pleasure) which was cooled by stream water. Later go to see one of the biggest canons at Jaigarh fort. Return to city to visit City Palace which holds much in store for the visitors. The former Maharaja still resides in a part of it, but rest now serves as a museum. At the rear of the City Palace is one of the Jaipur’s most interesting monuments, the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), a five story façade which overlooks the walled city’s main thoroughfare. The ladies of the royal household used to sit here to catch the breeze and watch the world go by. Close to the city Palace is another fascinating complex called Jantar Mantar, the observatory. Evening, we visit local markets to purchase the souvenirs for the family and friends. Night stay at hotel. Remark: you can also visit Raj mandir – an oldest cinema hall famous for its elegance and style

  • Day 08 : Jaipur - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra

    Morning, drive to the city which was once the pride of the mighty Mughal Empire a fortified town of awesome majesty and splendour, Agra. Before you enter the city take a stop at Fatehpur Sikri to see the romance with stones. Fatehpur Sikri was once the capital of Akbar from 1571 to 1585 AD. The remains of the palace and mosque are UNESCO World Heritage Site. From here, continue our drive to Agra, Upon arrival in Agra, check in hotel. Have wash and change, and leave hotel for Agra Fort, the construction began by Akbar in 1565 AD, additions continued to be made until the time of his grandson, Shah Jahan. Made mostly of red sandstone it is strikingly similar to the Red Fort in Delhi. Within the fort there are number of significant buildings. Later in the evening return to hotel for night stay after a long hectic day.

  • Day 09 : Agra – Gwalior

    Today early morning wake up to go for Taj Mahal visit when its beauty glows when the first beam of sun rays fall on it. The Taj Mahal stands in the midst of lush green garden, like a pearl in some immaculate setting. Its beauty transcends descriptions. The perfect proportion of the Taj Mahal, seen from a distance; conceal interiors that are magical in the craftsmanship. Each and every stone speaks the immortal love of Shah Jahan for his wife Mumtaj in whose memory this massive monuments was erected. Return back to hotel in Agra and proceed to Gwalior. On arrival, check in hotel. Later leave for guided city tour. Gwalior Fort is the city’s most famous landmark and within its walls contains several interesting temples and ruined palaces. Teli Ka Mandir within the fort complex probably dates from 9th century and has a peculiar layout plan and design. Later visit Jai Vilas which dates back to 1809 AD belongs to Scindia family; a large portion has now been converted into museum. Gwalior is also famous for Tansen Tomb who was a famous musician of Akbar’s court. Overnight stay at hotel

  • Day 10 : Gwalior – Orchha

    On arrival check in hotel and after go for guided tour of Orchha. The most famous among the rulers was Bir Singh Dev who dedicated the Jehangir Mahal in honour of the great Mughal emperor on his visit. The extraordinary beauty is in sharp contrast to an earlier building, adorned by colourful murals, known as Raj Mahal, built by predecessor Madhukar Shah. Orchha also has a series of impressive temples, dating back to 17th century. They are still in use today and are visited regularly by thousands of devotees. The soaring spires of the Ram Raja Temple and the well preserved murals of the Lakshmi Narayan Temple are especially worth a look.Overnight stay at a resort.

  • Day 11 : Orchha – Khajuraho

    Morning, head to Khajuraho, once the capital of Chandelles from 950-1050 AD. On arrival, check in to hotel and then proceed with your guide for the sightseeing. Khajuraho is famous for the temples with erotic sculpture. All the monuments have been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Western Group is the most impressive. Among the western group of temples Kandriya Mahadev temple is the largest and tallest of all. The inner sanctum has a marble Linga and the roof rises in a series of seven bands, to a summit of the central 31 meters high Shikhra. There are over 800 statues of gods and goddesses, musicians, and erotic poses carved onto its internal and external surfaces. Among the Eastern groups the most famous temples are Parasvnath Temple dedicated to Jain Tirthankara also visit Adinath temple dedicated to another Jain Tirthankara. After finishing sightseeing return to hotel for night stay.

  • Day 12 : Khajuraho – Varanasi (by flight)

    Today you will be transferred to the airport to take your flight for Varanasi. On arrival you will meet our representative at Varanasi airport who will escort you to your hotel.

    In the evening you will be taken on the bank of the river Ganges to see the evening prayer what the Hindus call it ‘Aarti’. After spending sometime on the bank of the river Ganges return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

  • Day 13 : Varanasi Sightseeing

    Today early morning leave for boat ride on the river Ganges where you can witness the whole life cycle from birth till the death. People throng here to offer the morning prayers. There is number of temples on the bank. It is believed that taking a holy dip in the Ganges washes all the sins and makes you spiritually and mentally elevated. After disembarking the boat leave for your hotel for the breakfast. Later visit Durga Temple Vishwanath and Bharat Mata Temple and also Banaras Hindu University then leave for an excursion to Sarnath where lord Buddha delivered his first sermon after attaining enlightenment at Bodh Gaya which is about 200 Km from here. Visit Dhamekha Stupa, the site from where Lord Buddha delivered his sermons. Rest of the afternoon is free to explore the local streets of Varanasi. Night stay at hotel.

  • Day 14 : Varanasi – Delhi (Flight) Delhi – Departure

    In the meantime you will be transferred to the airport to take your flight for Delhi from where you can take your International airport to connect your onward flight.
