The nearest railway station to Ukhrul is in Dimapur, Nagaland, around 249 kilometers away. This station is connected to other major cities in the country. Tourists can hire a taxi upon arrival in Dimapur to travel directly to Ukhrul, which takes approximately 9 to 10 hours, allowing travelers to enjoy the scenic beauty along the way. If visitors plan to travel to Ukhrul by bus, they must fly or take a train to  Imphal first. After arriving in Imphal, they can take a taxi or rent a car to make the approximately 3- to 4-hour drive to Ukhrul.
