Shirdi is a world known town in the Ahmadnagar district of Maharashtra, India. This is the town, once a small village, where the most revered saint, of present day, Shri Sai Baba lived until his Samadhi in 1918. Shirdi is one of the most populous pilgrimage center in India and millions of Sai devotees come each year to pray. The town is dotted with religious spots that relate to Sai Baba and events associated to his live at Shirdi. The town has a mesmerizing effect for every Sai Devotee and soothes & calms ones soul on visit. Apart from times of festivities, the best time to visit Shirdi, considering season, is anytime between November to March. Baba's death anniversary is commemorated in October every year and the exact date is as per the Hindu calendar.
