Kargil a small town, is the second largest city in Leh region of the Indian state Jammu & Kashmir. This place is a transit location of Ladakh with roads to Leh, Srinagar, and Padum in Zangskar, from here. This place once a quaint little town, gained popularity owing to the battle of Tiger Hill when the place was shelled by Pakistani militants. This small town is tugged deep within the cove of a river valley.
