After breakfast discover the historic sites and rich European legacy of Cochin with your guide in a private car. After an early breakfast, we will head to Thekkady (also known as Periyar National Park or Periyar Tiger Reserve). On reaching Thekkady check in at the jungle resort. After wash and change, leave for boat cruise to view the jungle activities where you can spot elephants, wild boar, sambar, and deer coming on the shore of the Periyar Lake. If you are lucky enough then you can also spot tigers coming to quench his thirst. Periyar Lake is the life line for all the faunas dwelling in the park. The vegetation is mainly of the moist deciduous type which mainly composes of marshy grasslands. The main fun is to watch the herds of elephant bathing in the Periyar Lake. Following a leisurely breakfast, we will drive to Mararikulam. Marari is a beautiful beach destination of Kerala endlessly covered with golden shining sand which will entice you to reach the beach as soon as possible. On arrival check into your hotel.
After breakfast take a leisurely walk around the beach. The beach offers a wide range of activities like swimming, surfing and sun bathing. You can also try mouth watering fresh sea food. After breakfast, leave for a sightseeing tour of Trivandrum. The main attraction is Padmanabhaswami Temple, one of the 108 pilgrimage sites for the Vaishnavites. The exquisite carvings on its 400 pillars is notable. Proceed to the Trivandrum airport to board scheduled flight back home or onward destination.
