Itinerary

  • Day 01 : Arrive Bangalore

    After a traditional Indian welcome by Max Holidays representative on arrival at Bangalore airport, you will be escorted to your hotel for an overnight stay.

  • Day 02 : Bangalore Sightseeing

    After breakfast enjoy a full day tour of the city of architecture wonders - Bangalore.

    Start the day with a visit to Lalbagh introduced by Haider Ali (king of Mysore) in the 17th century. Later his son, Tipu Sultan has made it more attractive by importing the rare species of the flowers and opens it for public visits. Bull temple –built in the 16th century and a fine example of Dravidian style. Tipu Summer palace, as the name says it was a summer retreat to Sultan Tipu, now a small museum which includes the art pieces of Tipu Sultan and Father Haider Ali. Vidhana Soudha – is one of the finest examples of architects in India. It was built in 1956 by engineer B.R. Manickam. It houses the legislative chambers of state government. Cubbon Park: the park was introduced on the name of Sir Mark Cubbon, viceroy in 1864. The park is attractive for joggers as well as picnics. At the evening it becomes more attractive when the fountain lids up.

  • Day 03 : Bangalore- Mysore

    After an early breakfast, begin with driving to Mysore, enroute visit Srirangapatanam famous for Ranganathaswami Temple built in the 9th century. Srirangapatanam is the capital of Hyder Ali and his son Tipu Sultan also known as Dariya Daulat Palace- built in the Indo-Sarcenic style.

    After visiting the temple, we proceed to Mysore and check into the hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure to explore the local vicinity at your own.

  • Day 04 : Mysore

    Following breakfast, proceed to visit the beautiful palace of Maharaja of Mysore built in Indo-Saracenic style with domes, turrets, arches and colonnades. Visit St. Philomena's Church, one of the oldest churches built in gothic style. Chamundi Temple lies on the outskirts of Mysore, dedicated to goddess Parvati, wife of Lord Shiva. Brindavan Gardens one of the most attractive gardens, the garden is consist of much different shape of fountains which are played (lid up accompanying the music) during the evening time.

  • Day 05 : Mysore- Calicut (Kozhikode)

    Morning drive to Calicut the most famous port of Malabar Coast and of India and was known to the Greeks since the beginning of the Christian era. It was the principal port for export of spices and cloth to the Greeks. Upon arrival in Calicut, check-in at hotel Later visit Pazhassi Raja Museum, dedicated to Pazhassi – a ruler. This museum displays ancient murals, antique bronzes and old coins, megalithic monumentsetc. From here visit Mananchira Square named on Kozhikode ruler, the square is situated in the city center and offers good view accompanying an open air theatre, and a musical fountain. Later we spend time at leisure at the beaches of Kozhikode, which are famous for natural beauty.

  • Day 06 : Calicut- Cochin

    Following early breakfast, this day starts with a drive to Cochin the capital of queen of Arabian Sea and Gateway to Kerala. It is known for its well-balanced ecosystem. On arrival at Cochin, check into the hotel. Later proceed for the sightseeing of Cochin starting with St. Francis Church – where the Vasco Da Gama –and famous explorer buried. The Jewish Synagogue originally built in 4th century, till today holds a unique charm with its ambience and architecture. The famed Mattancherry Palace – built by the Portuguese but changes occurred with the rule of different Rulers of Cochin. It is comprised of paintings of Ramayan and Mahabharat –the Hindu epics. Later proceed towards the Chinese fishing nets, where you will amaze with this technique of fishing. Evening, we visit the Cochin Cultural Centre to witness the Kathakali dance - an art of dance with the mix of drama and music. We will reach a bit early here to see the dancers preparing for the dance with their makeup and colourful costumes.

  • Day 07 : Cochin – Alleppey

    Morning we drive to Alleppey, the backwaters of Kerala where we will embark our private houseboat and cruise through the Kerala backwaters. Enjoy watching the scenic beauty of Kerala backwaters and green lands of Kerala from your floating villa. You will see the local people engaged in the daily activities near the canals. Evening during your stay at houseboat, enjoy the sunset which is believed to be one of the best scenic view in Kerala Backwaters. Overnight stay is at houseboat.

  • Day 08 : Alleppey – Thekkady

    After breakfast disembark from the houseboat and drive along Alleppey coastline, which brings you to the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary (Thekkady). On reaching Periyar, check-in your jungle lodge.

    After wash and change, we drive to Periyar Wildlife sanctuary (also known as Thekkady). Today we will take a boat ride at beautiful Lake Periyar, where while cruising we will explore the large variety of wild animals including Indian elephants, deer, wild boar, monkeys and some exotic birds. In the evening as the sun gets down, it is the time to go back to your wildlife resort in Thekkady. Stay will be in the resort.

  • Day 09 : Thekkady - Madurai

    After breakfast, begin driving towards Madurai. On reaching, check-in your hotel. After some relaxing at the hotel, leave to visit the best known Meenakshi Temple, or Meenakshi Amman Temple dedicated to Goddess Meenakshi, an avatar of Goddess Parvati.

  • Day 10 : Madurai- Munnar

    Today, drive to Munnar, one of the most frequented hill stations in the south. Located 1520 meters above the sea level, it is also famous for tea plantations. On arrival, check-in at your hotel. Evening is to explore the local life and interact with them. Night stay at the hotel in Munnar

    Optional : Munnar is famous for its tea, and one can visit the tea farms and factory to view the process of tea making, you can also buy the fresh made tea for your family and can also learn tea making.

  • Day 11 : Munnar- Cochin

    After breakfast, take an excursion to the Eravikulam National Park, where we will get an opportunity to see the very rare mountain goats locally called the Nilgiri Tahr. Then visit the Mattupetty Dam, Dairy Farm, Old Munnar Town and the local market. Following sightseeing, drive to Cochin and check into your hotel

  • Day 12 : Cochin Departure

    You will be transferred to the Cochin airport to board your flight back to home or onward journey.
