Gujarat known for its financial wealth and tourist potential due to coastal belt has another surprise through its architectural wonders. The architecture of the state is consisted three different era of history. The first is the modern architecture resulted from Jainism being the primary religion of the state. Second is Hindu architecture that thrived between the era of 11th and 13th centuries. The plan of Hindu architecture primarily is consisted of closed pillared hall, octagonal in shape, preceding a square hall surmounted by a sikhara. The Sun temple at Modhera is one example of such type of temple Gujarat. The Jain temples of Gujarat are mostly at Kumbharia that was center of Jainism under Solanki dynasty. The Jain temples in Gujarat are primarily made of rich and white marble. The Mahavira temple and the Shantinatha temple in mandapa style are the excellent example of it. However, the Islamic architecture in Gujarat can be found around Ahmedabad that was under the reign of Mughals till 1578 and therefore showcases the bright example of Indo- Islamic culture. Ahmed Shah's mosque in Gujarat with a facade having large arch with two minarets on either side of the arch devolved new style of mosques, known to be as the Gujarati style. The Friday mosque in Ahmedabad has wooden architecture that is another brilliant example of architecture in Gujarat.

  • Day 01 : Arrive Mumbai

  • Day 02 : Mumbai

    This morning enjoy the full day sightseeing tour of Mumbai city. In the morning visit Elephanta Island approximately 10 kms away from Mumbai land, the Elephanta Island Caves is of temples carved from rock which is date back from 6th & 7th century. Afterward visit Gateway of India, Princess of Wales Museum, Kamla Nehru Park and Hanging Gardens. Evening is to visit Chowpati Beach and drive past through Marine Drive one of the most beautiful and picturesque driving lane in the city. Overnight stay at the hotel.

  • Day 03 : Mumbai to Chhota Udaipur

    After breakfast, transfer to the airport to board the flight for Baroda. On arrival at Baroda meet and greet by Max Holidays representative. Afterward visit the museums and art galleries. Later we proceed for Champaner about 47 kms from Baroda. One of the historical town of Gujarat state, and was the capital of Gujarat in 16th century for a short period. Pavagadh Archaeological Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Later continue drive to the tribal areas of Panchmahals district and Chhota Udaipur Taluka to see traditional houses and paintings of the tribal groups. Upon arrival in Chhota Udaipur straight transfer to hotel and check-in for overnight stay.

  • Day 04 : Chhota Udaipur to Ahmedabad

    After breakfast drive to Ahmedabad. Ahmedabad is situated adjacent to the banks of Sabarmati River and one of the largest cities in Gujarat. Upon arrival our representative will transfer you to the hotel. Afternoon proceed for city tour of Ahmedabad and visit mosques Jama Masjid built by Ahmed Shah in 1423. Later visit Kankaria Lake one of the biggest artificial lake in Ahmedabad. Dada Hari Vav (stepped well) was built in 1501 during the kingdom of Mehmud Begda. The octagon-shaped step well was built as a relaxing retreat for the travellers. Evening, return to hotel for an overnight stay

  • Day 05 : Ahmedabad to Palitana

    After breakfast proceed for the walking tour to see the havelis of Ahmedabad. Later drive to Palitana. En-route visit Lothal, about 85 kilometres located at southwest Ahmedabad. Lothal is one of the ancient town which is full of Indus Valley Civilization and located close to the Sabarmati River on the west side of the Gulf of Khambhat. A museum is reserved with archaeological results which offer an insight into the Indus Valley period. The Indus Valley Civilization at Lothal was a center of attention for the Indus valley civilization when it moved down from Sindh to the Saurashtra coast to establish trading zones. Lothal and Rangpur, are the first 2 locations where the Indus valley civilization was discovered in India and both approximately 75 kilometers from Ahmedabad. Later continue drive to Palitana. Upon arrival transfer to hotel for overnight stay.

  • Day 06 : Palitana to Diu

    After breakfast proceed for sightseeing tour of Palitana. Palitana is one of the religious Jain city. It is situated approximately 85 kilometers south-west of Bhavnagar city and one of the major pilgrimage center of Jains and famous for its spectacular temple sites. Visit the Jain temple complex atop of Shatrunjaya Hill over Palitana. The complex houses about 860 temples on a summit sacred to Jains. Later drive to Diu. Upon arrival transfer hotel and check-in. Afternoon visit the 16th century Portuguese Fort is situated on the west coast of India in Diu, a Union Territory, directed by the Government of India. Portuguese built this fort during their majestic rule of the Diu Island. The town is situated to the west of the fort. Later visit 17th century churches. The St. Paul’s Church, Diu, is located in Diu Island, It is Situated within the Diu Fort, which came under the rule of the Portuguese colonists in early 16th century. The Church’s, named after St Paul, the follower of Jesus also known as the follower to the Gentiles, is most famous, present and operational church, among the three churches built by the Portugese in Diu. It is one of the best examples of baroque structural design in India

  • Day 07 : Diu to Gir

    After breakfast, drive to Gir. En-route visit Somnath to see the temples. Somnath Temple is situated in the near Veraval in Saurashtra. It is famous for its twelve Jyotirlingas (the shining Lingas) of the God Shiva and one of the most famous attractions among tourist. Later continue drive to Gir. On arrival transfer to hotel for overnight stay.

  • Day 08 : Gir to Gondal

    After breakfast proceed for Gir Lion Sanctuary and National Park. One of the most famous Park for its Asiatic Lions habitat. At the present around 350 left and all of them are in the Gir National Park. After visiting Gir National Park drive to Gondal. En-route visit Junagadh city is situated besides the Girnar hills. Accurately translated, Junagadh means "Historic Old Fort". Visit Buddhist caves, palace museum and royal mausoleum complexes. Afterward continue our drive to Gondal. Upon arrival at Gondal, visit the 1748 AD Naulakha Palace and other interesting buildings of the Maharajas of Gondal.

    The Naulakha Palace is one of the oldest palace in Gondal. It has wonderful "Jharokhas" (balconies) and famous for its magnificent art works, delicately carved arches, a fabulous pillared courtyard, and a unique spiral staircase, the large chandelier-lit "durbar" hall (court house).

  • Day 09 : Gondal to Dasada

    This morning after breakfast drive to Dasada, en-route visit the village were one can found artisans art work. Later continue drive to Dasada. Upon arrival transfer to hotel and check-in. Evening excursion trip to the Rann of Kutch for desert wildlife established in January 1972 as a sanctuary for the last population of Indian wild ass (khar). Were you can found chinkara gazelle, blackbuck antelope, wolf, desert fox, hyena, jackal, nilgai antelope, desert cat, and caracal. This unexpected area gets partly snowed under by about 2 feet of water in the monsoon months (July-September). Once under sea level, this area was moved up by earth’s movements which slice it off from the Gulf of Kutch, and was broken up by later earth movements into the flat salty areas (where you can find people making salt), and higher grounds with sandy, salt-free soil. Afterward return to hotel for overnight stay.

  • Day 10 : Dasada to Balaram

    Morning after breakfast drive to Balaram en-route visit Modhera to see the eleven century Sun Temple, Modhera was built by King Bhimdev from Solanki dynasty in 1026 AD and is dedicated to Lord Surya, the Sun God of Hinduism. It is similar to the Konark Sun Temple of Orissa. Also visit Patan to see the marvellously art work step well of 11th century. Afterward Proceed to Balaram via Sidhpur also known as Sri Sthal or a "holy place". Sidhpur is also believed to be located at the Y-junction of two rivers Saraswati and Ganga. Afterward continue drive to Balaram. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel and check-in for an overnight stay.

  • Day 11 : Balaram to Ahmedabad

    This morning after breakfast drive to Ahmedabad en-route visit Taranga to see the 12th century Shvetambar Jain temple, one of the pilgrimage center for Jain Religion, It was built king Kumarpal of Solanki dynasty in 1121. Also visit Vadnagar the town of Temples and Giant gates, Wells, Vaavs with fine art work. It is formerly known as "Chamatkarpur" in Sat-Yuga, "Snehpur and Anandpur " in Treta-Yuga and "Vimalpur" in Dvaapar-Yuga. Afterward continue drive to Ahmedabad. Upon arrival straight transfer to hotel and for overnight stay

  • Day 12 : Ahmedabad
