Gautama Buddha, regarded by his followers as an enlightened teacher, spent a considerable part of his life in the eastern part of the Indian subcontinent. His teachings and insights are followed throughout the world. And the birthday of Buddha is celebrated as the Buddha Purnima in Nepal, Bangladesh and India. Buddha travelled to the present day states of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Nepal to spread his message which focused on putting an end to the suffering and pains of life. According to Buddha, the suffering of life can be ended by following the Noble Eightfold Path - right view, right intention, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness and right concentration. During the Enlightening Buddha tour, you will visit all those places where Buddha spent his life and become familiar with what Buddha taught.
