Dalai Lama Special Tour Package with Delhi

Itinerary

• Day-1 Delhi–Evening Leisure

  Reach Delhi. Upon reaching Delhi, a Dalai lama Special Tour Representative will greet and aid you at the airport. Proceed to the hotel and complete check-in formalities. Spend the evening at your leisure. Stay the night at the hotel. Soon we will start our Delhi to Buddhist cultural tour.

• Day-2 Delhi to Local Tour to Old Delhi & New Delhi

  On the second day of the Dalai lama special tour, have breakfast, and prepare for tour of Old Delhi and New Delhi. Explore local attractions of Old Delhi, such as the memorial for Mahatma Gandhi: Raj Ghat, Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India, Red Fort, and take a drive through Parliament Street, President's House, and India Gate, which was previously known as India War Memorial.

  Additionally, visit other famous sights in Delhi like Qutub Minar, Humayun's Tomb, and Lotus Temple (Baha'i Temple). In the evening,  reach the railway station to catch the train to Chakki Bank and spend the night on board. Alternatively, take a flight from the airport to Gaggal Airport, only 13 km from Dharamshala. Spend the night in Dharamshala.

• Day-3 Chakki Bank to Dharmshala

  Upon reaching Chakki Bank Railway Station or the Gaggal Airport, proceed towards Dharmshala. This little town is home to many Tibetan communities, where one can spot monks adorned in their robes and elderly Tibetans walking with their prayer beads or revolving the prayer wheels. Finish the hotel check-in process.

  Explore the Namgyal Monastery or visit the Temple, also called the home of the Dalai Lama. In the latter half of the day, head to the Monastery of His Excellency the Dalai Lama. Spend the night at the hotel.

• Day-4 Dharmshala, Local Tour

  Begin your fourth day of the Dalai lama special tour with a healthy breakfast at the hotel. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure, immersing yourself in the local atmosphere of Dharmshala. In the afternoon, visit the Monastery of His Highness Dalai Lama to witness the rituals performed inside and explore other nearby Buddhist monastery sites.

  Head back to the hotel for dinner and spend the night in Dharmshala.

• Day-5 Dharmshala the back to Delhi

  After breakfast, drive to Chakki Bank Railway Station or Gaggal Airport to board the train/catch a flight to Delhi. Our agent will greet you and help you at the airport when you arrive. Later transfer and check into the hotel in Delhi.

• Day-6 Travel back to Delhi

  Following breakfast, proceed to the Delhi International Airport to board the flight for your next destination.
