  • Day-1 Arrival in Delhi, then to Agra

    Upon your arrival in Delhi, our Buddhist circuit trail tour team will greet you at the Railway Station or Airport. Our representative will accompany you and drive you to Agra. Upon reaching Agra, you will check in to your hotel. Enjoy a delicious dinner and spend the night in Agra.

  • Day-2 Agra, then local sightseeing of Taj Mahal & Agra Fort

    Following breakfast, explore the Buddhist sector tour with the Taj Mahal, the Wonder of the World commissioned by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan to honour his cherished wife, Mumtaj Mahal.

    Subsequently, tour the Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its Diwan-i-Aam (Hall of Public Audience) and Diwan-i-Khas (Hall of Private Audience), as well as several opulent palaces from the Mughal period.

    Afterwards, proceed to Agra Railway Station to board an overnight train to Varanasi. Rest comfortably on the train overnight.

  • Day-3 Varanasi then Sarnath Local Sightseeing

    You will be picked up from the train station and afterward, proceed to check into the hotel, and we will continue with our Buddhist circuit trail tour.

    After a satisfying breakfast, we will depart on tour to Sarnath. It was at the deer park (Rishipattana) in Sarnath where Lord Buddha imparted his first sermon to his disciples. Other local attractions in Sarnath include the Buddha Temples, Dhamekha Stupa, Chaukhandi Stupa, Mulagandh Kuti Vihara, and the Archaeological Museum.

    Indulge in the Evening Ritual Ceremony at Sarnath's Sri Lankan Buddhist Temple.

    Alternatively, brace yourself for an unforgettable experience as we take you to the world-renowned Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat. Enjoy the social and religious activities and cultural diversity at the Ganga Ghats in Varanasi. For the night nigh, stay in a hotel in Varanasi.

  • Day-4 Varanasi, then morning boat ride to Bodhgaya

    At dawn, sense the divine aura of Subah-e-Banaras in Varanasi and relish a serene boat ride in the Ganges during sunrise. Explore the various Ghats of Varanasi, each steeped in its unique history and significance. Head back to the hotel for breakfast.

    Post breakfast, proceed to Bodhgaya and check in at the hotel. Enjoy a delicious lunch in Bodhgaya, followed by a local sightseeing tour covering the Lord Buddha Temple and the Bodhi Tree, where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment. Return to the hotel and spend the night in Bodhgaya.

  • Day-5 Bodhgaya to Dungeshwari Caves & Sujata Village Temple

    Following breakfast, drive to Gaya to explore the nearby attractions. Visit the Dungeshwari Cave Temples, also called the Mahakala Caves, approximately 12 KM northeast of Bodhgaya. This is the place where Lord Buddha spent years practising austerity before arriving in Bodhgaya. Later, proceed to the Sujata Village Temple, where Lady Sujata offered Lord Buddha Kheer (a dessert made of rice and milk).

    Indulge in a half-day meditation session at the Buddhist monasteries in Bodhgaya. Return to Bodhgaya in the evening and have dinner. For the night, stay in a hotel in Bodhgaya.

  • Day-6 Bodhgaya to Rajgir then to Nalanda then to Patna

    Following breakfast, we shall proceed towards Rajgir, exploring Griddhakutta (Vulture's peak), World Peace Stupa, Bimbisar Prison and Venuvanaram.

    Our journey will then take us to Nalanda, where we will visit the remains of the ancient Nalanda University. This renowned institution was among the world's oldest universities and an international Buddhist study centre.

    From there, we will drive to Patna and visit our hotel. We will stay for the night at a hotel in Patna.

  • Day-7 Patna to Vaishali

    Following breakfast, make your way to Kushinagar. En route, take a detour to visit where Gautama Buddha gave his final discourse at Vaishali and declared his Parinirvana.

    Vaishali is also celebrated as the birthplace of Ambapali (also known as Amrapali), the legendary Indian courtesan in numerous tales and Buddhist texts. Ambapali eventually became a follower of Buddha.

    Afterwards, continue your journey to Kushinagar, where you can check in at your hotel and spend the night. Hence concluding the Buddhist circuit trail tour for the day.

  • Day-8 Kushinagar to Mahaparinirvana Temple & Mukutbandahn Chaitya

    Following the morning meal, we will depart for a Buddhist sites tour of Mahaparinirvana Temple, which is where Buddha passed away, as well as the Mukutbandahn Chaitya/Rambhar Stupa, the location where Lord Buddha was cremated and the Japan Temple. 

    Afterwards, we will travel to Lumbini, situated in Nepal. It is recommended to have a double entry visa for India and a single entry visa for Nepal. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and spend the night in Lumbini.

  • Day-9 Lumbani to Birthplace of Lord Buddha

    Following breakfast, head to the sacred Birthplace of Lord Buddha. Explore the nearby attractions in Lumbini before continuing the journey to Shravasti. Along the way, stop at Kapilvastu and take a Buddhist heritage tour covering multiple sites, Lord Buddha's Childhood Home, the Kapilvastu Kingdom Complex, the Lumbini Garden Complex and the Tilaurakot Museum.

    Upon arrival in Shravasti, check in to your hotel, enjoy dinner, and spend the night.

  • Day-10 Shravasti to Lucknow

    Following breakfast, embark on a tour of the local attractions in Shravasti - Saheth (Jetvanaram) & Maheth (Angulimal Caves). Additionally, make sure to visit Anand Bodhi Tree and Anathpindika Stupa. Afterwards, go to Lucknow to board the overnight train scheduled for Delhi.

  • Day-11 Departure from Delhi

    You will be collected from the Railway Station and transported to your hotel or IGI Airport in Delhi with unforgetful memories of your sacred journey.
