  • Day 1 Arrival in Delhi

    Upon arriving at Delhi Airport, our Buddhist temple tour with an East India representative will greet you and take you to one of our recommended hotels in Delhi. Complete the check-in formalities at the hotel. You have the rest of the day to yourself, spend it as you like. Stay in the hotel in Delhi for the night.

  • Day 2 Delhi, then Local Visit to Red Fort, India Gate, Lotus Temple & Jama Mosque

    Post breakfast, prepare to explore the Old Delhi and New Delhi tourist spots. Witness the local attractions of Old Delhi, such as Raj Ghat which is the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi, Red Fort, Jama Masjid which is the largest mosque in India, and take a drive past Parliament Street, President's House, and India Gate which was formerly known as India War Memorial.

    Discover other famous sights of Delhi, like Humayun's Tomb Lotus Temple and Qutub Minar.. If you have time, attend the nighttime Light & Sound Show at the World's Largest Temple, Akshardham Temple. Later go back to the hotel. Have your dinner and spend the night in Delhi.

  • Day 3 Delhi to Varanasi

    Begin your day on a Buddhist temple tour of East India with a delicious breakfast at the hotel. Afterwards, you will be escorted to the Delhi airport to catch your flight to Varanasi. Reach the hotel after arriving. 

    As the evening approaches, prepare yourself for an unforgettable experience. You will be taken to the world-renowned Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat. Witness the cultural diversity and various social and religious activities at the Ganga Ghat in Varanasi. Enjoy a delectable dinner and spend the night at your hotel in Varanasi.

  • Day 4 Varanasi, then a morning boat ride, then to Sarnath

    At dawn, immerse yourself in the spirituality of Subah-e-Banaras in Varanasi and relish a boat ride on the Ganges River during sunrise. Explore the various Ghats of Varanasi, each with its unique history and significance. Return to the hotel for breakfast.

    After breakfast, embark on an excursion to Sarnath, where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon to his disciples at Deer Park (Rishipattana). Visit the Buddha Temple., Chaukhandi Stupa, Dhamekha Stupa, Mulagandh Kuti Vihara, and the Archaeological Museum for local sightseeing. Spend the night at the hotel in Varanasi and cherish your experience.

  • Day 5 Varanasi to Bodhgaya

    Following your morning meal, proceed directly to Bodhgaya. Later in the day, visit Lord Buddha Temple (Mahabodhi Temple) and the Bodhi Tree, where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment, as well as Buddhist Monasteries. Hence covering some of the famous Buddhist temple tour in India. 

    The Mahabodhi Temple, constructed in the 6th century AD near the site of enlightenment, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a well-known Buddhist pilgrimage location in India. In Bodhgaya, have dinner and spend the night at the hotel. Hence concluding the Buddhist temple tour with East India for the day.

  • Day 6 Bodhgaya to Mahabodhi Temple

    Post breakfast, explore local tourist spots in Bodhgaya, such as Niranjana River and Sujata Village Temple, where Lady Sujata presented Kheer to Lord Buddha.

    Afterwards, proceed to Dungeshwari Cave Temple., also called the Mahakala Caves, where Lord Buddha—practised austerity for several years before arriving in Bodhgaya. Also, visit Sujata Village Temple.

    Next, we will attend a half-day meditation session at Buddhist Monasteries established by various countries in Bodhgaya. Delight in meditation sessions at the respective monasteries. Head back to the hotel for breakfast. Relish dinner and spend the night at the hotel.

  • Day 7 Bodhgaya to Rajgir Local Sightseeing,

    Following breakfast, head towards Patna and stop by Rajgir on the way, which was once the capital of the Ancient Magadha kingdom and is an important pilgrimage site for Buddhists. While there, take some time to explore Venuvaranam, Bimbisar Prison, and Griddhakuta (Vulture's Peak) at Ratnagiri Hills.

    A colossal Vishwashanti Stupa has been constructed by Japanese Buddhists on Ratnagiri Hill, which can be reached via a chairlift. The stupa features Buddha statues from the four stages of his life - birth, enlightenment, teaching, and death.

    In the afternoon, visit Nalanda. The Nalanda University Ruins Archaeological Complex is an ancient university. Visit the Chinese Pagoda built by Chinese Buddhists, the Xuan Zang Memorial Hall, after taking a tour around the ruins. Drive on to Patna and check in to your hotel. Enjoy dinner and spend the night at your hotel in Patna.

  • Day 8 Patna Local Tour to Patna Sahib & Kumrahar the Kolkata

    Discover the city of Patna post morning meal. Head to Kumrahar, the former capital of the Magadh Empire. Afterward, tour other popular attractions such as the Khuda Baksh Library, Gol Ghar and Patna Museum.

    Upon arrival, our agent will greet and support you at the airport. Then, transfer and register at one of our Kolkata accommodations. The remaining day is yours to enjoy freely. Spend the night at the hotel.

  • Day 9 Kolkata -then Local Tour to China Town & Victoria Memorial Palace

    Following breakfast, depart on a sightseeing trip around Kolkata. The prominent spots to explore include Science City, Metro Rail,  Victoria Marble Palace, Memorial Hall, Mother Teresa Home, Belur Math,  China Town, Vidyasagar Setu and Rabindra Setu.

    Subsequently, take a relaxed stroll to the bustling markets of Kolkata in the evening. Upon returning to the hotel, savour dinner and spend the night.

  • Day 10 Kolkata to Bagdogra

    After the morning meal, proceed towards Kolkata Airport to board the flight to Bagdogra. Our representative will meet you when you arrive at Bagdogra Airport and arrange a smooth transfer to Darjeeling.

    Upon arrival in Darjeeling, complete the check-in formalities at one of the enlisted hotels. Later, take a relaxed stroll to explore the vicinity of the surroundings. For the night stay in the hotel.

  • Day 11 Darjeeling sightseeing, then Himalaya Nature Tour

    After having breakfast, head towards Darjeeling and enjoy the picturesque view of Mount Kanchenjunga (the highest mountain peak in India) in the background while driving towards the city. Check in to your hotel and take some time to relax in your room.

    Explore the well-known Darjeeling sights later in the day, including the Peace Pagoda, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and  Tiger Hill.

    In the evening, take a stroll to the local market to purchase some of Darjeeling's unique crafts and antiques. Stay the night at a hotel in Darjeeling.

  • Day 12 Darjeeling to Pelling

    Following breakfast, proceed by road to Pelling, starting our next phase of Buddhist temples with a north-east India tour. The region surrounding Pelling is untouched and adorned with mountainous flora, accompanied by several cascades adorning the hills. Upon arrival, register at one of the recommended lodgings.

    After unwinding, set off on a day-long trip to explore notable landmarks such as the Kaluk, Khecheopalri Lake, Pemayangtse Monastery, Dubdi Monastery, and Sewaro Rock Garden. Enjoy dinner and spend the night at the hotel in Pelling.

  • Day 13 Pelling to Gangtok

    Post morning meal, proceed towards Gangtok by car. Upon arrival, complete the check-in process at any of the mentioned hotels. The rest of your day is free. You can spend as you like. Enjoy the local flavour and peaceful surroundings of Gangtok.

    Later, have dinner and spend the night at the hotel in Gangtok.

  • Day 14 Gangtok then sightseeing tour of Enchey Monastery

    Following breakfast at the hotel, we will embark on a half-day city tour of Gangtok, visiting the Directorate of Handicrafts and Handlooms, Research Institute of Tibetology, Enchey Monastery, Chorten, Rumtek Monastery and Orchid Sanctuary.

    The evening will be free, after which we will return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay in Gangtok.

  • Day-15 Gangtok to Kalimpong

    Following breakfast, proceed to Kalimpong by car. Once you arrive, complete your check-in at the hotel. Following a brief break, depart on a town tour that includes Durpin Monastery, Deolo Hills, a visit to the Forest Museum, Dr Graham Homes School, Mangaldham and Pine View Nurseries. Spend the night in Kalimpong and enjoy your stay.

  • Day 16 Kalimpong to Bagdogra

    Following breakfast, you will be escorted and transported to Bagdogra Airport. Fly to Delhi from Bagdogra Airport.
