Itinerary

  • Day-1 Delhi to Lucknow

    Board the Jan Shatabdi train from New Delhi to Lucknow in the wee hours of the morning. Upon arrival at the railway station, you will be greeted and escorted to Shravasti. Complete the check-in formalities at the hotel and relish a delicious dinner before retiring for the night at the hotel in Shravasti. Next day we will continue with our Delhi to Buddhist sector tour.

    Distance Covered : by train 550 KM, 6 Hrs approx

  • Day-2 Shrawasti then Local Sightseeing of Saheth & Maheth the to Lumbini

    Post morning meal, we shall explore the nearby attractions of Sravasti, such as Saheth, Jetvanaram, Maheth, and Angulimal Caves.

    Subsequently, we will proceed toward Lumbini. Make sure you secure a double entry visa for India and a single entry visa for Nepal. Once we arrive, we will check into our hotel, indulge in dinner, and have a great night.

  • Day-3 Lumbini to Birthplace of Lord Buddha

    After breakfast on the third day of the Delhi to Buddhist sector tour, we will explore the Sacred Birthplace of Lord Buddha and other popular tourist sites in Lumbini, such as the Eternal Flame of Peace and Maya Devi Temple.

    Subsequently, we will travel to Kushinagar. Enjoy a delicious dinner and spend the night at a hotel in Kushinagar.

  • Day-4 Kushinagar then Local Visit to Mahaparinirvana Temple

    Following breakfast, explore the Mahaparinirvana Temple, where Buddha breathed his last, Rambhar Stupa, also known as Mukutbandhan Chaitya (the cremation ground of Lord Buddha), and Japan Temple.

    Afterward, proceed to Vaishali, where Lord Buddha delivered his Last Sermon. Visit Ananda Stupa, Lord Buddha Stupa, Coronation Tank (Abhishek Pushkaran), Kutagarshala Vihar, and Ashokan Pillar. Later, head to Rajgir, where you will have dinner and spend the night.

  • Day-5 Rajgir, then Local Tour then to Nalanda

    On the fifth day of the Delhi to Buddhist sector tour, after breakfast, head to Rajgir, the capital of the Magadha Empire and a sacred destination for Buddhists. The Vishwa Shanti Stupa (World Peace Stupa), an enormous structure constructed by Japanese Buddhists, can be found atop Ratnagiri Hill. Explore Griddhakuta (Vulture's Peak), Vishwa Shanti Stupa, Venuvanaram, and Bimbisar Prison.

    Afterward, drive to Nalanda and tour the archaeological remains of the Nalanda University Complex. After seeing the ruins, visit the Chinese Pagoda, the Xuan Zang Memorial Hall, built by Chinese Buddhists.

    Afterward, make your way to Bodhgaya and check into your hotel. In the evening, visit the Lord Buddha Temple (Mahabodhi Temple) and Bodhi Tree. Enjoy dinner and spend the night at your Bodhgaya hotel.

  • Day-6 Bodhgaya, then Local Tour to Dungeshwari Caves Sujata Village

    Subsequently, explore the Dungeshwari Cave Temples, also popularly called the Mahakala Caves, on the way to Gaya. It was here that Lord Buddha spent several years in a state of austerity before proceeding to Bodhgaya. The caves consist of three primary chambers, each adorned with Buddhist Shrines. Following this, tour the Sujata Village Temple, where Lady Sujata served Kheer to Lord Buddha, who was meditating then.

    Post lunch, travel to Varanasi and complete the check-in formalities at the hotel. In the evening, brace yourself for an unforgettable experience as you witness the renowned Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat.

    Return later and have your delectable meal at the hotel. Spend the night comfortably at the hotel in Varanasi. Hence concluding the Buddhist to Delhi sector tour for the day.

  • Day-7 Varanasi, then Morning Boat Ride, then Local Tour to Sarnath

    At dawn, immense in the divinity of Subah-e-Banaras in Varanasi, relish a delightful Sunrise Morning Boat Ride in the Ganges. Explore the distinct Ghats of Varanasi, each with its unique history and significance. Return to the hotel for breakfast.

    After breakfast, go to Sarnath, where the Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon to his followers in the deer park (Rishipattana). Visit the Dhamekha Stupa, Buddha Temples, Chaukhandi Stupa, the Archaeological Museum, and Mulagandh Kuti Vihara for a glimpse into the rich culture and heritage of the region. Hence concluding the Buddhist heritage tour. Finally, we will drop you off at Varanasi Railway Station /Lal Bahadur Shastri Airport in Varanasi.  Here our Delhi to Buddhist sector tour comes to an end.
