Tribal Tour of Orissa

Day 01 :Arrive Kolkatta
On arrival at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport of Kolkatta, you will be received by the Max Holidays Representative and transferred to the pre booked hotel for you. Check in hotel for night stay.

Day 02 : Kolkatta Sightseeing
Victoria MemorialEarly morning after breakfast take drive to cover the sights of Kolkatta. Your sightseeing of Kolkatta will include the most famous Victoria Memorial – a great example of European architectural style and also a worth visiting museum, Saint Paul’s Cathedral, Paresnath Jain Temple, Kali Temple and Botanical Garden. Day 03 : Kolkatta – Bhubaneshwar (by flight)
Early morning with the assistance of company representative you will be transferred to the airport to board the flight to reach Bhubaneshwar – capital city of Orissa. Day 4: Excursion to Lalitagiri, Khandagiri and Udayagiri
Early morning after breakfast get ready for the visit to thericharchitectural relics of Lalitagiri, Sun Temple KonarkKhandagiri and Udayagiri. Day 5: Bhubaneshwar – Konark – Puri (105 Kms/ 3 Hrs)
Early morning after breakfast head to Konark which is 70 Kms from Bhubaneshwar. The beauty of Konark can not be described in words. ‘Here the language of man is defeated by the language of stone’ – these are the words quoted by Rabindranath Tagore on Konark Sun Temple. It is because of its unique architect Konark has been enlisted in World Heritage Site. The stone here have hypnotic character and will hold you for long. Further head to the most pure and pious city and the city which holds an important image for Hindu’s in India – Puri. Puri offers many a thing from sea to temple, from dance to shop. Start the tour of this ancient city with the Jagarnath Temple, which is famous for being one of the Dham among the four important Dhams of India. Enjoy life at thrilling beach of Puri and come back to hotel for night stay.

Day 6: Puri – Chilka Lake – Gopalpur (222 Kms/ 5 Hrs)
Early morning with a beach side view have a breakfast and head toChilka Lake. Chilka Lake has aChilika Lake Gopalpurpanoramic view to offer you. It is the largest mixed fresh and salt water lake in Asia. It is the resting place for guest birds during the month of December and March and it definitely adds to the beauty of Chilka Lake. Day 7: Gopalpur – Raygada (221 Kms/ 5 Hrs)

The natural surrounding and atmosphere that Raygada has, gives a scenic view to the place. Enroute visit Langia Soura – a tribal village, get the view of tribal people from very close. Reach Raygada and visit Hathipathar – a boulder in the shape of elephant. It attracts a lot number of tourists towards itself. Evening visit Kutia Kondh Tribe market. Back to hotel for night stay.

Day 8: Raygada
Early morning after breakfast in the typical tribal surrounding. Start your sightseeingPeople Orissa tour of Raygada with Minajhola – a beautiful scenic spot and then drive towards Padampur an excursion from Raygada. Padampur is a tribal village famous for its Manikeshwar Shiv Temple. Back to hotel at Raygada for night stay.

Day 9: Raygada – Jeypore (132 Kms/ 2 Hrs)
Early morning after breakfast take a drive towards Jeypore. Reach Jeypore and check in hotel. Jeypore is the place blessed with all the beautiful natural view. Jeypore offers you hills, dams, lakes and many other attractions which has magnetic character to hold you for the day. Have a sightseeing of some of the ancient temples in Orissa like Kali Temple, Neelkantheswara temple and the Fort of Jeypore. Take a drive to the magnificent Kolab Dam and Machkund Dam. Day 10: Jeypore – Onkudelli – Jeypore (80 Kms/ 2 Hrs)
Early morning take a drive towards Onkudelli which is a worth visiting excursion from Jeypore. Markets of Bonda, Gadaba and Didayee tribes are the attractive markets to offer you the typical tribal ornaments and souvenirs. Day 11: Jeypore – Visakhapatnam (218 Kms/ 5 hrs)

Day 12 : Visakhapatnam – Kolkatta ( by flight)
