Today you will be transferred from your hotel to the Safdarjug Railway station to begin your lifetime memorable journey on the Palace on Wheels.
Day 02 : Arrival at 02.00 hrs in Jaipur. Departure 19.30 hrs to Jaisalmer
The first destination of Palace on Wheels is Jaipur,the capital city of Rajasthan also known as the Pink City.You will be taken for sightseeing of the city by an air-conditioned coach.Visit Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds, which is a remarkable five storeyed building. Later visit to Amber Fort, where you can enjoy the elephant ride to ascend the fort.Right across the road from the City Palace is the Jantar Mantar, the largest observatory built by the Sawai Jai Singh II. The Luxury coaches will take you back to Palace on Wheels around 6.30 pm. Dinner on Board.The train leaves for Jaisalmer.
Day 03 : Friday Arrival at 08.15 hrs in Jaisalmer. Departure at 23.00 hrs.to Jodhpur
Jaisalmer lies in the heart of the Thar Desert.This city was founded by Rawal Jaisal, in 1156A.D. The yellow sandstone gives an imposing sight, towering magnificently over the city. You can see a very fine work in stones in Nathmalji-ki-haveli, Patwon-ki-haveli and Salim Singh-ki-haveli which has a very grandeur facade. After lunch go for short excursion to camel safari at sam dunes .Enjoy the dinner and the cultural programmes at a hotel in Jaisalmer. The train leaves for Jodhpur at night.
Day 04 : Saturday Arrival at 07.00 hrs in Jodhpur. Departure at 15.30 hrs to Sawai Madhopur
Today morning the train arrives in Jodhpur.This is the second largest city of Rajasthan, founded by Rao Jodha in 1459 A.D.The Mehrangarh fort stands at a height of 400 feet.The grand palaces within- Moti Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, Phool Mahal, Sileh Khana and Daulat Khana are impressive instances of architectural perfection. Near the fort complex lies Jaswant Thada, and a group of royal cenotaphs made of white marble.After lunch at a royal Palace hotel, return to the Palace on Wheels.
Day 05 : Sunday Arrival at 04.00 hrs in Sawai Madhopur. Departure 10.30 hrs to Chittaurgarh
Today arrive early morning to Sawai Madhopur founded by Maharaja Sawai Madho Singh I.Once it was a hunting ground for the royal family.After breakfast you will be taken to the Ranthambhor National Park, where you can see the remains of 10th century fort. This national park is famous for the tigers.Besides tiger one can also view hyena, ratel, jackal and fox are among those constitutin
g the carnivorous population here. Upon return to the Palace on Wheels, you leave for Chittaurgarh.Day 05 : Sunday Arrival 16.00 hrs.
Have your lunch on board. Arrive Chittaurgarh which was once the capital of Mewar.
Day 06 : Monday Departure at 05:30 hrs. from Chittaurgarh for Udaipur
Welcome to the lake city of Rajasthan , Udaipur. This city was founded by Maharana Udai Singh of Mewar, in the year 1559A.D.The magnificient Jag Niwas was once upon a time was the summer residence of the rulers has now been converted into a Lake Palace Hotel. Jag Mandir, another island on lake Pichola is worth visiting. After lunch a visit to City Palace is exhilarating.In the evening visit the crystal gallery. Later proceed to Bharatpur on board Palace on Wheels.
